NSF-SWITCH grant
In 2011, the Harold M. Tucker Herbarium began work on a National Science Foundation-funded initiative (SWITCH—South-West Idaho: The Comprehensive Herbaria) in collaboration with Boise State University to gather images and data on each specimen in the herbarium. These images and data will soon be available at the Consortium of Pacific Northwest Herbaria website (www.pnwherbaria.org).
We have already databased approximately 8,000 of our 42,000 vascular plant specimens.
