Dr. Charlotte Borst officially took office as The College of Idaho’s 13th president on June 22, 2015. Borst is the first woman to hold the presidency in the College’s 124-year history. She comes to the C of I from Whittier College in California, where she served as vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty. She succeeds President Emeritus Marv Henberg, who recently retired after a successful six-year tenure.
“I am incredibly excited, humbled and grateful to be here,” Borst said. “The College of Idaho is a very special place full of very special people. To be chosen to lead such an outstanding college at such an exciting time in its history is a tremendous honor. I know that I am standing on the shoulders of those who have worked so hard to bring this College to its present place, and my promise is to work together to achieve even greater recognition for the excellence that marks a College of Idaho education.”
