Mechanisms of Cadmium-induced Osteotoxicity
Dr. Heggland's Current Student Collaborators
I am proud (and fortunate) to have had several very motivated, energized students work in the lab. Our research goal is to better understand how exposure to environmental toxins, in particular the heavy metal cadmium, contribute to the pathogenesis of osteoporosis.
The current research team includes the following C of I undergraduate students: Dayne Filer, Danny Cortes, Nic DeRuyter, Thao Ha, Michelle Simmonds, Kyle Quinney, and Shea Wright.
The pictures to the right show research team members at the 2011 Society of Toxicology Conference in Washington, D.C., and the 2010 Murdock Undergraduate Research Conference at Linfield College.
