Students may find many opportunities to engage in original scientific research.
Many courses include short independent research opportunities as part of the course laboratory, including:
- BIO-221 Population Biology
- BIO-345 Ecology
- BIO-374 Animal Physiology
- BIO-375 Plant Physiology
and others.
Becoming a member of a research team is possible in the Research Techniques courses (BIO-395/ 495). Results of these research projects may lead to presentations at scientific meetings and/or publication in a scientific journal. Many of the class-related research projects lead to presentations. To see a list of presentations and publications, see Student Talks/Papers.
