Personal Statement

Kirsten Mast began teaching at The College of Idaho in 2000. Her scholarly interests include MIS courses, business law, project management, business software and design tools, and methods and practices of Project Management.

The business department offers many internships and independent studies. Dr. Mast often has students complete a database design project or an internship with a government agency to help them expand and apply what they have learned in class. She often works with students long after graduation as they go to graduate school, open their own businesses, and/or return to the College to hire student interns and graduates.

Dr. Mast loves teaching at The College of Idaho, especially because of the small class sizes, which allow her to give students regular, in-depth feedback and see their amazing progress. She also appreciates the opportunity to challenge students to stretch themselves and to make connections across the many fields they study.
