The Eros Theatre opened in the fall of 1998 in the newly remodeled McCain Student Center. Originally located in the basement of the old Kirkpatrick Gymnasium, the Eros is an intimate venue for student productions, class projects and evenings of improvisation.
The Eros is a versatile space where seats can be arranged or removed depending upon the director's and designer's vision. The inaugural production in the new Eros was Lee Blessing's Two Rooms directed by Tracy Sunderland and featured actors Brandon Ward, Jennifer Walker, Renei Yarrow and Jason Clark. The stage manager was Marissa Price, lights were run by Jennifer Essinger and sound was operated by Conlyn McCain. Ron Torres was the assistant stage manager.
