Jasper LiCalzi
Jasper LiCalzi (Ph.D., Temple University) Professor of Political Economy specializing in Public Policy and American Government. and current chair of the Department of Political Economy. Dr. LiCalzi's dissertation involved applying an Institutional Rational Choice framework to the domestic military base closing commission process. His more recent research has concentrated on interest groups in Idaho and the Idaho state legislature. He has been a member of the College of Idaho faculty since 1993. Dr. LiCalzi is the political analyst for KIVI Today's Channel Six and has contributed blogs to the Idaho Statesman on local and national political matters.
Dr. LiCalzi also teaches courses in Environmental Studies and in the College's First Year Writing Program. Dr. LiCalzi is the faculty advisor for the College Republicans, Young Democrats, and the Debate Team. Dr. LiCalzi's office is located in Strahorn 105, his phone number is (208) 459-5829.
