Robert DayleyRobert Dayley (Ph.D., Northern Illinois University, 1997) Professor, International Political Economy, Asian Studies.  Joined The College of Idaho in 2000.

Dr. Dayley’s expertise is the political economy of the Asia-Pacific region. He has lived in Asia for over four years and is twice recipient of Fulbright grants to Thailand (1997, 2006). His professional publications examine Thailand’s political and economic development. With co-author Clark Neher, he recently published Southeast Asia in the New International Era, fifth edition (Westview 2010), a survey work covering recent political developments in all 11 countries of Southeast Asia. His other research examines agrarian change and politics in Thailand. He has taught at Thai and Chinese universities and frequently leads winter session study tours to Asia.  His courses include International Political Economy, Politics of Developing Countries, Comparative Politics, Political Economy of Southeast Asia, Political Economy of China, and International Politics. He also advises The College of Idaho's award-winning Model United Nations Delegation.

Prior to his arrival at The College of Idaho, Professor Dayley taught at Davidson College, St. Lawrence University, and Oglethorpe University. In addition to his Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University he holds an M.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Oregon and a B.A in Political Science from Weber State University.
