Residential Computing Consultants (RCC's)
RCC's provide in-room computing support for students living in campus
residence halls and off campus students. In addition to technical
support, RCC's develop programs and projects integrating technology and
community in various ways. They are responsible for managing technical
support, distributing important information to the staff, holding
monthly meetings, and providing effective feedback on the ResNet
program.
We believe that working for ResNet offers many benefits to its employees. Information Technology is becoming extremely common in businesses of all sizes, as well as in many households. ResNet offers workers the ability to leave the program with a good knowledge of computing technologies and their uses. ResNet program is looking for students with strong customer service
skills along with good technical knowledge, specifically with respect to
The College of Idaho supported software and services. ResNet is
interested in candidates who can be flexible with time, take initiative
on projects, and promote a strong sense of community in their residence
hall. Residential Computing Consultants (RCC's) are required to
live on-campus in specific residence halls during their tenure. For
compensation, RCC's housing fees are waived. Please note that ResNet
will be trying to fill specific needs across campus and may have less
flexibility regarding hiring students who are unable to move.
The application deadline for the Fall 2010 semester is Wednesday March 31st, 2010.
