Dear

I hope all is well with you. I am writing to tell you about a terrific opportunity I will have during Winter Break.

I'm still attending The College of Idaho and keeping myself busy with studies, intramural soccer, my fraternity activities, and even the occasional date! I'm in the middle of my Junior year and have finally decided to major in English literature. I've found that I can learn so much about the variety of the world through literature. In each book I get a little history, psychology, religion, and culture. It's a great education. I've also been involved with Campus Ministry at The College of Idaho, and it's through this group that I have the opportunity mentioned above.

From February 19-24 I will join about 70 other students and travel to Tijuana, Mexico where we will work with children at the Hogar de los Ninos Orphanage (Home of the Children). Our team will spend our time working with children and helping out at the orphanage, and also constructing a home for a needy family in the area. Our homes will have a cement floor, windows, door and two rooms. They cost about $3,000 in materials. They are simple, but are a real improvement from what many people in this area have to live in. I am excited about the opportunity to learn while serving during my break between semesters.

I am writing to ask if you would be my partner in this service through prayer and/or financial support. I would love to know that a group of friends and family are praying for my experience in Mexico, and I truly believe God will honor our concerns for them as we ask for His guidance. It will be a great encouragement for me to have the involvement of family and friends.

As for finances, the trip will cost $680 (which covers airfare, room and board, ground transportation, and building materials for our house). I would really appreciate any contribution you can make. Your gift is fully tax-deductible. Any contributions I receive above my individual cost will be applied to the team expenses as a whole. Please make any checks payable to The College of Idaho and mail to Campus Ministry (you may put "Potter's Clay" in Memo area, but for Tax Purposes, DO NOT WRITE MY NAME ON THE CHECK, not even in "memo" area). Campus Ministries will keep track of your gift for me using the enclosed card.

I am excited about being part of this team, and I appreciate your consideration. I will keep you updated on my experience.

Thank you and best regards,
