CALDWELL, Idaho - Bryan Goff threw a two-hit shutout and James Mannion rapped a pair of two-run doubles, as No. 4 seeded Concordia University defeated No. 3 seeded British Columbia, 6-0, in a loser-out game at Simplot Stadium.
The senior from Aurora, Ore., took a no-hitter into the sixth - and finished with just two walks and nine strikeouts.
Jimmy Rudig got the Cavs (18-30) on the board in the first with an RBI single, with Mannion doubling home two runners in the second and two more in the fifth, as CU advances to tonight's 4 p.m. game against the loser of Albertson College and Lewis-Clark State.
Kyle Waterland and Cody Herrick each had two hits in the win for CU. Andrew LaFleur struck out five in six innings of work for the T-Birds (21-20), who failed to reach the regional final for the first time since 2001.
