Region I Baseball Tournament Game 4

Lewis-Clark State 8, Albertson 2

CALDWELL, Idaho - Beau Mills hit his school-record 31st home run of the season and Matt Fitts struck out nine in seven innings of work, as top-ranked Lewis-Clark State moved into the title game of the NAIA Region I Tournament with an 8-2 victory over Albertson College at Simplot Stadium.

With the win, the Warriors (50-4) will play the winner of tonight's ACI-Concordia elimination game in tomorrow's title game.

Mills hit the first pitch he saw in the second inning off Coyotes (30-16) starter Andrew Brock, breaking Jim O'Dell's record set in 1983.

ACI took an early 1-0 lead on a Jacob Garsez RBI single in the second, but did not record a hit after the fourth inning, as Fitts and reliever Will Morgan stymied the hosts.

Ikaika Lester provided the big blow, a two-run double in the sixth inning to break open a 4-1 game.  L-C is now 9-0 against the Coyotes this season.
