Region I Baseball Tournament Game 5
Albertson 14, Concordia 5
CALDWELL, Idaho - Kent Bradshaw went 5-for-5 with three runs scored and Carson Taysom tossed seven shutout innings as Albertson College moves into the NAIA Region I title game with a 14-5 elimination game victory over Concordia University at Simplot Stadium.
With the win, the Coyotes (31-16) will meet top-ranked Lewis-Clark State tomorrow at Noon, needing two wins to move into next week's Far West Sectional in Azusa, Calif.
Bradshaw was the catalyst today, recording four singles and a two-run double as ACI recorded a season-high in runs in their fifth-straight win over the Cavaliers.
Taysom allowed only four hits and did not allow a runner to third base in his second sharp outing against CU. The senior tossed eight shutout innings against the Cavs on April 29 in a Yote, 6-3 win. Bryan Champ added a 3-for-4 game in the win.
Concordia (17-31) averted a shutout with a five-run eighth, keyed by a grand slam homer from senior, James Mannion.
