Leadbetter sisters earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors

Sisters Molly Leadbetter and Kate Leadbetter were honored today as Women's Tennis Daktronics/NAIA All-America Scholar-Athletes, released this afternoon by the national office in Kansas City, Mo.
Junior Molly Leadbetter and senior Kate Leadbetter, both of Grand Junction, Colo., were honored for being at least a junior in academic status and maintaining a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average at The C of I. They were two of 115 women's tennis players honored by the NAIA.
The C of I has registered 25 national scholar-athletes during the 2009-10 athletic season, with softball, baseball, and track and field still to be released.
