Volleyball Tournament Game 1

Oregon Tech def. Eastern Oregon 31-29, 27-30, 30-24, 30-26

CALDWELL, Idaho - Krista Wooley recorded 22 kills and 23 digs as Oregon Tech opened up play in the Cascade Conference Volleyball Tournament with a 31-29, 27-30, 30-24, 30-26 victory over Eastern Oregon in the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

With the victory, the No. 3 seeded Owls (20-8) will face No. 2 seed Southern Oregon later today.  The No. 6 seeded Mountaineers (10-15) saw their season come to a close.

OIT squandered two game-points in Game 1, but kills by Katie Fuller and Maggie Roberts gave the Owls the win.  Eastern got five of freshman Grace Deboot's 22 kills in the Game 2 win, but saw the Owls rally from a 14-9 deficit in Game 3, using six Wooley kills to take the lead in the match.  OIT put it away early in Game 4, sprinting out to a 22-11 lead, withstanding a late EOU rally to advance to the semifinals.

Roberts had 15 kills and 20 digs and setter Megan Albertson had 51 assists and 17 digs in the win for Tech, which advances to the semifinals of the tournament for the third-straight season.  Chelsea Lally had 15 kills and 22 digs to pace the Eastern attack.
