LISTEN LIVE TO LADY 'YOTE HOOPS Jordan
Komoto and Jake McClean will handle play-by-play and color commentary of Albertson
College home women's basketball games via the internet, while Mike
Safford Jr. will call conference road games on 1490 KCID-AM and the
internet Komoto and McClean provided commentary for the Lady 'Yotes the past two seasons and have broadcast numerous high school and collegiate basketball games on the Internet. The duo also called action at the 2001 OSAA-U.S. Bank 3A Boys and Girls State Championships for iHigh.com, along with the entire 2002 Albertson volleyball season. Komoto is a senior at Albertson, majoring in
business with a minor in sociology.
As a freshman, he worked as the volleyball and women’s
basketball public address announcer. His sophomore and junior
years, he
provided play-by-play for the Lady 'Yotes volleyball and basketball
teams. Additionally, Komoto is involved with the Albertson
community, serving as the student body treasurer for 2003-2004, is the
student body president in 2004-05, and
directing the pep band at home basketball games. McClean is in his third year at Albertson and is majoring in history and political science. The 2002 graduate of Ontario High played golf for the Tigers for four years. He served as president of the school’s jazz band his senior year and was the school’s public address announcer for events ranging from track meets to student assemblies. In 2002, he returned to the high school state basketball tournament to broadcast games over the internet. Safford begins
his fourth year as sports information director for the Albertson
athletic department. Along
with his media relations duties, he doubles as the assistant athletic
director, and serves as the “Voice of the Coyotes” for men's and
women's basketball on 1490-KCID, along with calling Albertson baseball
and softball games on radio and the internet. |
