SOFTBALL (18-23): Coyotes take five-game win streak into their first Cascade Conference playoff appearance

LAST WEEK: vs. No. 4 Simon Fraser (L 10-5, L 6-0), vs. Northwest Nazarene (L 11-1, W 4-3), vs. Concordia (W 1-0, W 4-3), vs. Corban (W 7-4, W 13-2)

COMING UP: at Cascade Conference postseason tournament, Delta Park, Portland, Ore. – Sunday vs. Eastern Oregon, 9 a.m.; with win vs. Oregon Tech, 11:30 a.m., with loss vs. Concordia-Corban loser, 2 p.m. (all times Pacific) – remainder of schedule subsequent on wins-and-losses.

ZILLNER SWEEPS CCC WEEKLY AWARDS: It was a big week for the Lady ‘Yotes “slash” player, Katie Zillner (Emmett, Idaho / Chicago State U.), who had monster weeks both at the plate and in the pitching circle.  For her endeavors, the sophomore was named Cascade Conference and NAIA Region I Pitcher and Player of the Week – the first time this season that the same player has earned both honors.  Zillner went 3-0 with a 2.42 ERA in five appearances, recording 22 strikeouts in 26 innings of work – including a complete game win over Concordia.  She also hit .429 on the week with three doubles, a triple, and 12 RBI.  It marks the second time this season that Zillner has earned the Player of the Week award.

REGIONALLY RANKED?: For the past two weeks, the Albertson College softball team has mysteriously dropped out of the NAIA Region I weekly poll – because the poll only included the Top-4 teams.  Simon Fraser, Oregon Tech, Southern Oregon, and Concordia were listed, however, the Lady ‘Yotes, who had held the No. 5 spot each of the previous three weeks, nor any other team, occupied that spot.  This was surprising, considering ACI went 5-3 on the week, swept the No. 4 ranked team in the regional poll, and played NAIA No. 4 ranked Simon Fraser tough.

ABOUT THE CASCADE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT: Unlike the past four seasons, the Lady ‘Yotes are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs for the first time in school history.  The six Cascade Conference softball coaches voted last year to allow each team to participate in the CCC postseason tournament – with the tournament a true double-elimination affair.  The top-two teams in the regular-season standings will receive a bye in the first-round of the tournament (along with earning an automatic berth to the NAIA Region I tournament).  The highest finisher in the tournament, not among the regular-season top-two, will earn the final berth to regionals, joining RegionI independent Simon Fraser.

OFF TO THE PLAYOFFS, MEET I-84 RIVAL: The Lady ‘Yotes enter the CCC tourney as the No. 4 seed and will meet Eastern Oregon in an opening round game.  A mainstay in the playoffs, the Mountaineers (13-26) have advanced twice to the NAIA Women’s World Series.  This season, EOU got off to a rocky start, losing 15 of their first 18 contests, but finished the regular-season winning 10-of-18 games.  Eastern set a school-record with 32 home runs this season – thanks to big years from Hannah Shelly (.358 5 HR 26 RBI), Meghan Henderson (.345 6 HR 24 RBI), and Leanne Foster (.297 7 HR 33 RBI).  Pitching has been the Mounties concern (5.77 team ERA), but Kelly West (7-16 4.88 ERA) has improved as the season rolled on.  Albertson took 4-of-6 games from EOU this season, but the Mountaineers hold a 24-6 all-time series edge.

EXTRA-BASE PARADE: On thing can be said about the 2006 Coyote softball club is the fact that they have hit the ball hard all season.  The Lady ‘Yotes have already clubbed more doubles as a team (54) than any other ACI team, while their 78 extra-base hits are 27-more than any other previous squad.  The 20 home runs hit by the Coyotes are nearly seven-times more than a previous team had hit – and have nearly doubled the 11 home runs ACI hit in the first four years of the program.  Four players have tied or surpassed the previous record for homers in a season.

NEARLY THE BIGGEST UPSET: Simon Fraser rallied from a late inning deficit to win Game 1 then saw Melissa Oddie toss a five-hit shutout in the nightcap, as the No. 4 ranked Clan notched softball wins over Albertson College at Symms Field last Monday.  The upstart Coyotes, who saw their losing streak hit seven games, used a four-run fifth inning rally to take a 5-3 lead.  A two-run Lisa Stout (Caldwell, Idaho / Caldwell HS) single tied the score at 3-3, with the 'Yotes taking their first lead of the game on a Katie Zillner groundout.  Stacy Smith (Draper, Utah / Juan Diego Catholic HS) capped the inning with an RBI single to give ACI the two-run cushion.  Unfortunately, the wheels came off the 'Yotes wagon, as a pair of errors in the sixth inning allowed the Clan to close to 5-4, then used a six-run seventh to put the game away.  In Game 2, Oddie was in control, working around five singles and a walk to improve to 12-1 on the season.  She was helped by a pair of two-run homers from catcher Becky Hartley, part of SFU's 12-hit attack.  Anna Schroeder (Eagle, Idaho / Eagle HS) went 3-for-8 in the doubleheader to lead the 'Yotes, while Haley Butcher (Eagle, Idaho / Eagle HS) added a 2-for-5 day.

ILLIAS JUMPSTARTS WIN STREAK: Freshman Nicole Illias (Beaverton, Ore. / Valley Catholic HS) hit a solo walk-off home run to right field in the bottom of the seventh inning, helping the Albertson College softball team salvage a split of last Wednesday’s Canyon County clash with Northwest Nazarene.  The Crusaders took the opener, 11-1, but ACI rallied for a 4-3 win in Game 2.  The victory for the Lady ‘Yotes ended an eight-game losing streak and helped secure a victory in the season series with NNU for the fifth-straight year.  ACI holds a commanding 21-7 all-time series lead with the Crusaders.  Albertson trailed 3-1 early in the contest, but drew even in the bottom of the third, as former Crusader Katie Zillner rapped a two-run double to tie the score.  The sophomore, who got the start in the circle for the ‘Yotes, fanned seven batters to pick up the win.  Heather Kirtley (Eagle, Idaho / Eagle HS) went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and Illias went 2-for-4 in the win for the Coyotes.  It was all NNU (18-22) in the opener, as the Crusaders earned their most lopsided win over their rivals.  Vanessa Shaw had a two-run single in the first, then ripped a three-run homer in the second inning, as the visitors opened up a 7-0 lead after two frames.  A Jill Barna three-run blast in the fourth would cap the scoring for NNU.

SWEEPING REGION I’S #4: The Albertson College softball team improved to 9-2 all-time at Symms Field against Concordia University, as the Lady ‘Yotes used solid pitching and defense, along with some friendly breaks, to sweep the Cavaliers Friday afternoon, 1-0 and 4-3.  The opener was a pitchers dual between the Coyotes Kerri Russell (Melba, Idaho / Melba HSand Concordia’s Annele Huckins.  Russell got the best of it, tossing a three-hit shutout, her third of the season, outdueling Huckins, who fanned a game-high 11 batters.  ACI got the only run of the game in the third, as Heather Kirtley walked, stole second, and moved to third when A.J. Cavanaugh (Covington, Wash. / Kentwood HS) beat out a two-out infield single.  Huckins then uncorked a wild pitch, allowing Kirtley to score.    Concordia had chances in the third and fourth, but could not capitalize.  Katie Zillner made a diving catch of a Brynn Ludwig line drive with two runners on to end the third, and with two more on, a Kelly Rattay line drive went off Russell’s glove to the waiting Anna Schroeder, who touched second for the final out.  Game 2 saw the Cavaliers take a 3-2 lead in the fifth, when Kristin Donohue walked on a full-count with the bases loaded, forcing home Rattay with the go-ahead run.  However, the ‘Yotes would rally in the sixth, as a Haley Butcher RBI single – off the glove of shortstop Denise Benedict, knotted the score.  Katie Theisen (Boise, Idaho / Centennial HS) would bring home the eventual winning run on a sacrifice fly for ACI.  Zillner got the win in the circle, striking out seven – along with going 2-for-3 with an RBI at the plate.  Stacy Smith and Schroeder had two hits for the ‘Yotes, with Kelly Mannion going 2-for-4 for the Cavs.

SENIORS LAST HURRAH AT HOME: The Albertson College softball team gave five seniors a mighty send-off, as the Lady ‘Yotes tied a school-record by extending their win streak to five games, sweeping aside Corban College, 7-4 and 13-2, Saturday at Symms Field.  The Coyotes head off to next week’s Cascade Conference tournament on a high note, after setting a school-record with 14 hits in the opener, then recording a season-high for runs in the night-cap.  After Corban took an early 1-0 lead on a Lindsay Batey first inning RBI double, the ‘Yotes responded in the third.  Katie Zillner lined a two-run triple into the right field corner to give ACI the lead, and Haley Butcher and Stacy Smith added RBI singles in the frame.  The Coyotes would build a 7-2 edge and hang on for the win.  Kerri Russell picked up her ninth win of the season, while Butcher went 3-for-4 for the ‘Yotes.  Nicole Illias, Angie Gribble (Boise, Idaho / Bishop Kelly HS), and Zillner all had two hits.  Game 2 saw the Warriors stake out a 1-0 lead in the first on a Batey solo home run to left, but ACI plated five runs in the bottom of the frame on only one hit.  Two walks, two hit batters, and a passed ball got the ‘Yotes two runs, then Butcher laced a two-run single, followed by a Katie Theisen ground out to make it 5-1.     The ‘Yotes would pour it on, getting a Zillner two-run double in the second, a Lisa Stout three-run triple in the third, and a Stephanie Stover (Caldwell, Idaho / U. of Nevada) RBI triple in the fourth, as ACI scored their most runs in a game since the 2004 season.

SMASHING THE RECORDS: Heading into the postseason, the ‘Yotes have already eclipsed four team records (RBI, doubles, home runs, and total bases in a season), are tied for two more (hit-by-pitch and sacrifice flies), and are nearing the mark for runs in a season, along with slugging percentage, on-base percentage, and fielding percentage.

BASEBALL (32-17): Coyotes dominate All-CCC team, head to Oregon Tech to close out regular-season

LAST WEEK: vs. Eastern Oregon (W 4-1, W 8-4, W 12-2), at Corban (W 5-3, L 5-3, W 10-5), at Eastern Oregon (W 4-1, W 15-5)

COMING UP: at Oregon Tech (DH), Saturday, Noon (PDT); at Oregon Tech, Sunday, 11 a.m. (PDT)

CASCADE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS: With a 7-1 week to improve their record to 32-17 on the season, the Albertson College baseball team not only secured the No. 2 seed into next week’s NAIA Region I Tournament, but captured their second-straight and eighth-overall Cascade Conference championship.  Despite playing a regional schedule, the CCC still awards a trophy to all sports that have four-or-more members, with the ‘Yotes 18-3 against current Cascade Conference members (excluding any games against British Columbia).

COYOTES DOMINATE ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS: For the second-straight season, the ‘Yotes swept the big awards handed out by the Cascade Conference.  Senior outfielder Greg Stalling (Boise, Idaho / Borah HS) capped his final season by being named CCC Player of the Year; junior lefty Jason Roach (Sacramento, Calif. / Sacramento City CC) was named CCC Pitcher of the Year; with head coach Shawn Humberger picking up the hardware as Coach of the Year for the second-straight season and the third time in his career.  Stalling joins an elite group of players who have been four-time All-CCC selections – and currently leads the league in runs scored and stolen bases.  Roach has been the class of the league on the hill, recording a 6-0 mark with a 1.00 ERA against CCC opponents – leading the loop in wins, ERA, and strikeouts.

‘YOTES PLACE NINE ON ALL-CCC TEAM: Stalling and Roach were two of nine ACI players among the 17-man All-CCC team, selected by the coaches this week.  A pair of ‘Yotes earned their second-straight honor, as Jake McGrady (Boise, Idaho / Borah HS) was selected as an outfielder, and Nate Freese (Vancouver, Wash. / Skyview HS) was selected as a utility player, after being selected as a designated hitter last year.  A pair of freshman earned accolades, as Dane McGrady (Boise, Idaho / Borah HS) was the All-CCC second-baseman and Bryan Champ (Boise, Idaho / Borah HS) was the All-CCC third-baseman.  Junior Pat Burke (Sisters, Ore. / Sisters HS) was one of two catchers on the list, while a pair of transfers – shortstop Casey Oliver (Pocatello, Idaho / Coll. of Southern Idaho) and reliever Jason Enewold (Rifle, Colo. / Lamar CC) were named to the team.  Two other pitchers – Charlie Strandlund (Victoria, B.C. / Coll. of Southern Idaho) and Carson Taysom (Pocatello, Idaho / Century HS), along with outfielder Ren Lombardo (Boise, Idaho / Oregon State U.) were honorable mention selections.

STALLING NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK: To add to his busy week, Greg Stalling was named CCC and NAIA Region I Player of the Week for the fifth time in his career.  The centerfielder went 10-for-19 at the plate with ten runs scored and knocked in five runs in the ‘Yotes six games.  It is the second time this season that Stalling has received this honor.

HUMBERGER WINS NO. 200: With ACI’s win this Tuesday at Eastern Oregon, Shawn Humberger recorded his 200th victory as Coyote skipper.  “Hummer” joins a group of just four other Coyote coaches – Marty Holly (men’s basketball), Tim Mooney (baseball), Cisco Limbago (men’s and women’s tennis), and John Calpin (men’s and women’s soccer), to win 200-or-more games at Albertson College.

RECORD BOOK INFO: Six Coyotes have rewritten the pages of the ACI career record book so far during the 2006 season.  Greg Stalling leads the way, already the career leader in walks (142), stolen bases (93), and runs scored (220).  He currently is second in games started (209), hits (265 – five from tying the record), and at bats (754), is third in hit by pitches (44) and games played (213), is fourth in doubles (46), ninth in RBI (130), and tied for tenth in triples (5).  Jake McGrady ranks third all-time in stolen bases (70), is fourth in games played (204), at bats (691), and games started (186), is tied for fifth in sacrifice bunts (17) and hits (221), and is seventh in runs scored (153).  Nate Freese sits in third-place in doubles (48), is fourth in saves (9), is fifth in all-time in hit-by-pitches (36), is sixth in games started (174), at bats (634), games played (188), and RBI (136), is ninth in hits (184), and tenth in triples (5). Rounding out the group is Lars Alsager (Nampa, Idaho / Skyview HS), who ranks third all-time in appearances by a pitcher (77), Dominic De La Paz (Nampa, Idaho / Nampa HS), who is ninth in appearances (46), and Pat Burke, who is ninth in doubles (35) and tenth in at bats (520).

COYOTES MOVE UP IN POLL: Despite remaining out of the NAIA Top-25 for the third-straight week, the Coyotes jumped from the No. 36 spot (four voting points) to the No. 29 slot (21 voting points) in Wednesday’s rankings – which is the eighth-straight poll they have earned votes. Two other NAIA Region I teams were in the poll – No. 1 ranked Lewis-Clark State and No. 5 ranked British Columbia.  The final national poll of the regular-season will be released next week.

THREE’S A CHARM ON SENIOR DAY: The Albertson College baseball team ended a five-game losing streak in a big way, taking a trio of last Tuesday from Eastern Oregon – winning 8-4 and 12-2, along with a 4-1 victory in the completion of a game suspended after four innings on March 14 in La Grande.  Casey Oliver broke a scoreless tie in the seventh inning of the suspended game, ripping a three-run double off the centerfield wall to give the ‘Yotes the lead.  It was enough for Jason Roach, who pitched all five innings, allowing just one run, to notch his sixth win of the year.  The first game of the scheduled doubleheader saw ACI score all eight runs in the bottom of the fourth, chasing Eastern starter Brandon Ferguson.  Ren Lombardo had the big hit in the inning, a two-run double into the leftfield corner.  Charlie Strandlund took a no-hitter into the fifth inning, but Eastern got a pair of runs in both the fifth and sixth inning.  Lars Alsager got the final four outs to quell the Mounties rally.  The finale saw Eastern jump out to a 1-0 lead on a Cody Herrick infield single, but ACI would use a pair of four-run innings to put the game away.  Consecutive doubles from Jake McGrady, Greg Stalling, and Oliver helped the ‘Yotes build a 5-1 edge after three.  Jason Enewold got the win, tossing five innings of scoreless relief, fanning five.  Oliver went 4-for-9 with five RBI, while Lombardo and Bryan Champ each had four hits on the afternoon.

‘YOTES WIN ROADIE IN OREGON: ACI won a three-game series against Corban College over the weekend, splitting 5-3 games on Friday, then winning the rubber-game, 10-5.  Tied 2-2 in the opener, Charlie Strandlund led off the frame with a single and moved to second when Pat Burke was hit by a pitch.  Nic Florence (Boise, Idaho / Cochise CC) then layed down a sacrifice bunt that was thrown away by third-baseman Darren Johnson, allowing Strandlund to score the go-ahead run.  Casey Oliver would later add an RBI single in the frame.  It was enough for Carson Taysom, who went the distance for the first time in his career.  The junior lefty allowed just seven hits and fanned five to notch his fifth win of the season.  Corban would erase an ACI 1-0 lead in the fourth of Game 2, using RBI singles from Ryan Porter and Brian Nelson to take the lead.  The Warriors would add a single run in the seventh and a two-run Nelson single in the eighth, part of his 5-for-5 game to take a 5-1 edge.  ACI would cut the margin in half in the ninth, as Oliver lined a two-out, two-run single.  However, Nate Freese struck out looking to end the contest.  In the finale, Freese went 2-for-4 with four RBI and Jason Roach pitched seven innings of three-hit ball, as Albertson College got the win.  After Corban  starter Jordan Emery walked two batters and hit a third to open the game, Freese cleared the bags with a three-run double, helping the ‘Yotes jump out to a 10-1 lead and coast to the win.  Roach was outstanding, allowing three singles and a single run in his seven innings of work to secure seventh win of the season.  Greg Stalling went 3-for-4 at the plate with three runs scored in the win.

ACI SPOILS EASTERN’S SWAN SONG: The Coyotes completed a season-long six-game sweep of Eastern Oregon on Tuesday, sweeping the Mountaineers, 4-1 and 15-5.  ACI scored single runs in the first four innings of the opener to pace starter, Charlie Strandlund.  The senior tossed six innings of four-hit ball to pick up his seventh win of the season.  Casey Oliver had RBI doubles in both the first and third innings, while Pat Burke launched his first homer of the season in the second.  The nightcap saw Eastern jump out to a 5-0 lead after four innings, thanks in part to 11 extra-base hits in the contest, including three doubles from Mark Yanez.  However, Paul Erickson (Burlington, Wash. / Everett CC) threw three and two-thirds innings of scoreless relief, and the ‘Yotes scored 15 unanswered runs to get the win.  A three-run Strandlund triple in the sixth inning gave ACI a 7-5 lead, while two-run doubles by Burke and Drew Cauffman (Mountain Home, Idaho / Mountain Home HS) in the seventh put the game out of reach.  The game marked the final time that Albertson and Eastern Oregon will meet on the diamond, as the Mountaineers will eliminate their baseball program next season due to budget constraints.  Since 1946, the ‘Yotes held a 146-41-1 mark against their rivals, including ten consecutive wins.

OFF TO OREGON TECH: Albertson will fine-tune things this weekend, as they finish a season-ending eight-game road trip at Oregon Tech.  There is much more at stake for the Owls (21-22, 11-15 Region I), who need to win one-game in the series (or have a Corban win over Eastern Oregon) to secure a regional tournament berth.  OIT had the ship rolling, winning 12-of-15 games, however, has dropped six of their last seven.  The Owls have three of the top pitchers in the loop in Corey Merritt (3-4 3.46 ERA), Brian Parnell (2-3 2.52 ERA), and Anthony Baca (5-4 5.62 ERA), but have struggled scoring runs at times.  ACI swept the Owls in March, outscoring the Klamath Falls bunch, 26-5, and holds a 42-9 all-time series edge.

TRACK: ‘Yotes set to compete at Cascade Conference Championships

COMING UP: at Cascade Conference Championships, Portland, Friday.

OFF TO THE CONFERENCE MEET: The Albertson College track squad heads to Portland on Friday for the Cascade Conference Championships, hosted by Cascade College, at the Mount Hood Community College track.  The ‘Yotes will send 13 men and 11 women to the meet – looking to improve on a pair of sixth-place finishes in the team event (women scored 16 points, the men scored 14).

AMONG THE LEAGUE’S BEST: Seven different ACI runners have recorded Top-5 times in the CCC this year.  Shannon Edwards has the top-time in the 5,000-meters (17:46.90) and the second-best time in the 1,500 (4:51.70) – and will try to double at the meet.  Katie Ball has the second-fastest 800 (2:23.20), Jayne Saunders has the second-fastest 400-hurdles (1:07.30) time, while the 4x400-meter relay team has the fastest (4:07.58) time in the CCC heading into the meet.  On the men’s side, Matt Barclay ranks second in the 400 (49.59), Tyler Hopper ranks fourth in the 800 (1:54.50), and Jacob Haas ranks fourth in the 5,000-meters (15:14.90).

NEW EVENTS THIS WEEK: The ‘Yotes will have a pair of runners trying new events in Portland – as David Fluckiger will try to defend his conference steeplechase title, while Jesse Chlebeck will run the 10,000-meters in an attempt to qualify for nationals.

LAST WEEK AT BSU: Despite a tough week of training leading up to Friday’s CCC Championships, the Albertson College track team showed marked improvement in middle-distance events at the Outback Invitational, hosted by Boise State, at Bronco Stadium on Saturday.  Leading the way was the women’s 4x400 relay team of Katie Ball, Nicole Bogdeniac, Jayne Saunders, and Martine Troy, which won the event in a school-record time of 4:07.58 – taking nine seconds off their previous mark.  Tyler Hopper continued to run well in the 800-meters, placing third in the event in 1:54.86 – less than a half-second off the NAIA “B” mark.  He was also third in the 1,500 in 3:57.72 – less than two-tenths of a second off the provisional.  Also having a solid race was Matt Barclay, whose time of 49.59 placed him fifth – just two weeks after injuring a hamstring.  It is less than eight-tenths of a second off the NAIA “B” qualifying time.

WOMEN’S TENNIS: Coyotes finish season by placing fourth at NAIA Regionals

THUNDERSTORMS MARK OPENING DAY: The Albertson College women’s tennis team struggled on the opening day of the NAIA Region I Championships, dropping matches to rivals Lewis-Clark State and Southern Oregon on Saturday.  The Lady ‘Yotes were swept in the opening match by LC-State, with Kyla Westerberg and Anna Moylan putting up the biggest fight at No. 1 doubles, dropping their match to Rachel Moorhead and Carla Ross, 9-8.  ACI then dropped a 6-1 decision to Southern, one that was shortened by rain – forcing all competition to the L-C State tennis center.  The Coyotes earned their lone point in No. 3 doubles, as Karin Hayashida and Kathleen Kuehn outlasted Sonia Agularia and Erin Braun, 8-5.  Play for the evening session was halted when lightning struck the tennis center and a leak in the roof allowed rain to enter the building, according to ACI tennis coach, Cisco Limbago.

DAY TWO LOSS TO ALBERTA: The Albertson College women’s tennis team ended the season with a tough 5-4 decision to the University of Alberta at the NAIA Region I championships, finishing the tournament in fourth-place.  Kyla Westerberg and Anna Moylan got the day off on a good note with an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles of the Pandas Shaira Somani and Ingrid McKibbon.  However, ACI would drop the other two doubles matches.  Westerberg, Moylan, and Mariah Armstrong notched singles victories, but it wasn’t enough, as the bottom of the ladder could not get the ‘Yotes the victory.

LOOKING AT THE SEASON: ACI ended the year with a 4-7 record, including an 0-5 mark against NAIA competition.  Kyla Westerberg, a sophomore, and Anna Moylan, a senior, finished the season with 14 wins – while all eight members of the team recording at least one victory during the 2006 season.

GOLF: ‘Yotes play best round of season in finale of Regionals

MEN IMPROVE: The Albertson College men’s golf team finished ninth out of 13 teams at the NAIA Region I championships, hosted by the University of Victoria, at the Christina Lake Golf Club.  The Coyotes were led by John Pasley, who carded a 19-over par, 235, with Ben Coate just two strokes behind him at 237.  Both Pasley and Coate each carded the low-round of the tournament by an ACI golfer, shooting twin 74’s.  The University of British Columbia ran away with the event, shooting a team score of 850 – 16 strokes under par.  ACI did finish second among Cascade Conference teams – losing to Concordia, but finishing three strokes ahead of Corban.

GALLANT LEADS WOMEN: On the ladies side, Sarah Gallant capped an outstanding Coyote career with an 18th-place finish.  The senior shot a 254, 38-strokes over par, to lead ACI.  UBC completed the sweep of golf honors by taking the women’s team title.
