tournament at Falcon Crest Golf Club was again a great success and the Yotes
would like to thank the countless players and sponsors that make the tournament
year-in-and-year-out one of the top events in Southwest
Idaho. A complete recap of the Open, along with a list of
unclaimed raffle prizes, will be in next week's Yote Notes.
FIRST
EVER SOFTBALL ALUMNI GAME SET FOR OCTOBER 5: The C of I softball team will host their first-ever
alumni game on Oct. 5, at the Symms Field diamond. To RSVP, contact head
coach Al Mendiola at 459-5113.
HALL OF FAME: 2008 Induction set for Friday Night
TENTH INDUCTION CEREMONY: The College of Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame
will hold their tenth induction ceremony on Friday night – as the greatest
football team in school history will be among those receiving their place among
the Coyote elite. The 1953 Football
Team, which recorded a perfect regular season, captured the outright Northwest
Conference championship, and advanced to a bowl game, leads the group of
inductees. Joining the gridiron greats
are former coach Sam Vokes and coach and physical education instructor Shirley
Kroeger. Led by quarterback Boyd
Crawford, halfbacks Ted Martin and Ed Bonaminio, ends R.C. Owens and Jack
Kennevick, and lineman Joe Kahahawai, the 1953 Coyotes ran roughshod in the
Northwest – including convincing victories over both Idaho State and Montana
State. They would be selected for the
Refrigerator Bowl in Evansville,
Indiana –
one of only six bowl games at the time, where they dropped a tough 14-12
decision to Sam Houston State. A total of 15 players from the team will be
in attendance at the induction ceremonies – including Owens, Crawford, Bonaminio,
Gene Strehlou, John Park, Gary Collins, Bill Kundrat, George Shull, Rano
Sullivan, Don Troyer, Harlan Geach, Chuck Ruby, Ted Shannon, Merla Cables, and
Pete Douroux. Others will be represented
by their families including Donna Shannon (Bill Shannon), Barbara Rich (Don
Rich), Bernie Kahahawai (Joe Kahahawai), Joe Jakubowski (Walt), Ina Vokes (Sam
Vokes), and Jerry Cole (Eddie Cole).
Also earning induction in the Hall of Fame is Vokes, who served as a
coach at The C of I from 1952-55 in football, basketball, and baseball. He was the head coach of the 1953 football
team, along with 1954-55 basketball team that completed a perfect 15-0 NWC
record – led by Owens and NBA All-Star Elgin Baylor. Completing the class is Kroeger, the First
Lady of C of I athletics. She has been
recognized as a pioneer in women’s physical education and an inspiration for a
generations of men and women who have pursued a career in the teaching of
physical education. From 1947-74, she
oversaw the early evolution of women’s athletics at The C of I, and guided the
program through the Title IX era of the early 1970’s. Additionally, she coached the C of I women’s
field hockey team throughout her career.
A welcome reception will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, from 5-8 p.m. in the
McCain Student Union, while the Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place
Friday, Oct. 3, in the Simplot Dining Hall, beginning with a cocktail hour at 5
p.m. For more information, including
tickets, contact Dick Carrow at 871-8863 or email The C of I Special Events and
Conference Services department at jpilote@collegeofidaho.edu.
VOLLEYBALL (9-6, 6-2 CCC): Coyotes return home for CCC matches
against Concordia and Corban
LAST WEEK: at Evergreen State
(W 3-0), at Northwest (W 3-0)
COMING UP: vs. Concordia, Friday, 7 p.m.; vs.
Corban, Saturday, 7 p.m.
OWEN NAMED LIBERO OF THE WEEK: For the first time this season, a C
of I player has earned Cascade Conference Libero of the Week honors – as Whitney Owen (Caldwell, Idaho / Vallivue HS) earned the award
this week, announced by the CCC office.
The sophomore recorded back-to-back career high totals in digs in the
Yotes weekend victories – registering 15 digs at Evergreen State
and 16 digs at Northwest. For the
season, Owen is averaging 3.5 digs per set.
GREAT NUMBERS DURING WIN STREAK: During the current six-match win
streak, the Coyotes are averaging 14 kills per game, while hitting at a stellar
.374 clip. The Yotes have allowed just
14 service aces during that stretch, while opponents are hitting at a meager
.049 percentage.
HENNING LEADING THE LOOP: Leading the Coyote charge has been
middle blocker Kristin Henning (Boise, Idaho / Boise
HS), who leads the CCC in both blocks per set and hitting percentage. In league-only counters, the junior has a
staggering .593 hitting percentage. Over
his last five matches, Henning has 50 kills, just one attack error, in 71
swings.
SINGLE-DIGIT GAMES IN RALLY SCORING: Three times this season and seven
times overall since rally scoring was instituted prior to the 2001 season, the
Lady Yotes have held a team under ten points in a 25-or-30 point set. Earlier
this season, the Yotes held Mount
Marty to six points, held
Warner Pacific to five, and Cascade to nine.
Last season, the Yotes allowed just seven points scored by Cascade and
eight in a set by Evergreen
State. C of I held Evergreen State to nine points in 2006 and held
Cascade to six points in 2003 – each time in Set 1.
DEFENDING THE HOME COURT: The Lady Yotes look to continue their
winning ways in Caldwell
this weekend, hosting a pair of matches.
The home court advantage as been prevalent, as The C of I has not lost a
home match since the 2005 season – taking a 40-match home win streak into
October.
YOTES STILL RECEIVING VOTES IN NAIA
POLL: Despite a
tough start to the season and back-to-back road losses to open up the 2008 CCC
season, the Lady Yotes have received votes in each of the first three NAIA
Top-25 Coaches Poll of the season, released by the national office in Kansas City, Mo. The C of I, who saw their streak of
25-straight weeks in the Top-25 snapped on Sept. 9, received 33 voter points in
last week’s national poll, good enough for No. 35 in the NAIA. They were
ranked No. 9 in the preseason poll, released in August. However, the Coyotes extended their streak of
consecutive weeks receiving votes in the poll to 36 - dating back to September
of 2005. The lone CCC team in the poll
is No. 17 Oregon Tech, while Southern Oregon, the Yotes, and Eastern
Oregon all received votes.
Other C of I opponents were also ranked – No. 3 Concordia (Calif.), No.
5 Madonna, No. 12 Lewis-Clark State, and No. 13 Point Loma Nazarene.
CASCADE CONFERENCE RANKINGS: The fourth regular-season CCC Coaches
Poll was released on Monday, with the Lady Yotes remaining in the No. 3 in the
balloting. Southern Oregon, who swept
Oregon Tech last week, was back in the No. 1 spot, followed by OIT, the Yotes, Eastern Oregon, Concordia, and Corban. The CCC ranking is released on Monday’s, the
NAIA national poll is released on Tuesday afternoons.
ABOUT CONCORDIA: The Lady Yotes open up the Homecoming
Weekend homestand with a Friday night match against Concordia. The Cavaliers
(10-6, 6-2 CCC) have won two-straight, but have lost four of their last seven
matches overall. CU is led offensively
by Lindsey Fryer (2.8 k/s, 0.9 b/s), who began her college career at Northwest
Nazarene, and Mariana Toscano (2.2 k/s, 1.6 d/s). The key to the Cavs offense is setter Skyler
Kamaka (8.7 a/s, 2.4 d/s, 21 aces), who is among the league leaders in
passing. The two teams have met 52 times
previously, with the Yotes holding a 32-20 edge, including ten in a row.
ABOUT CORBAN: Saturday night, Corban heads to Caldwell,
looking to end a six-match losing streak to the Yotes. The Warriors (7-6, 5-3) have been perfect on
their home floor this season, winning all five matches – thanks to the play of
libero Rebecca Franke (4.8 d/s). Four
Corban players average two kills per set or more – Rachel Gowen (2.4 k/s, 0.9
b/s), Tiffany Land (2.3 k/s, 1.1 d/s), Rashelle Davenport (2.3 k/s, 3.4 d/s),
and Chelsea Reeher (2.0 k/s, 1.9 d/s).
It is the 34th meeting between the teams, with the Yotes
holding a 23-10 edge.

Idaho / Middleton HS) and Kristin Henning each had seven kills in the
victory, with Marcella Hernandez (Torrance, Calif. / El Camino CC) and Jessie Link (Tonopah, Nev. / Nicholls State U.) adding six, with Naomi Reimer
adding five kills and 13 assists. The
Lady Yotes had a .424 hitting percentage and recorded ten aces in the victory,
holding the hosts to just 20 kills on the night. Whitney Owen had 15 digs in the victory, with

/ East Union HS) led the way with 11 kills, as The C of I ran their win
streak to six games with a 25-22, 25-16, 25-16 victory at Northwest University
at the Northwest Pavilion on Saturday night.
The Lady Yotes completed a weekend sweep, thanks to the play of Spinks,
who added five blocks in the straight-set win.
Kristin Henning added seven kills and six blocks, with Naomi Reimer
nearly recording a triple double with nine kills, 13 assists, and nine
digs. Whitney Owen helped out the cause
with a match-high 16 digs. Anu Akemine

ABOUT THE COACH: Liz
Mendiola is in her eighth season as head volleyball coach at The C of
I. During her first six seasons at the helm, the Coyotes have advanced to
six consecutive Cascade Conference tournaments, four NAIA regional tournaments,
and back-to-back trips to the NAIA National Championships in 2005 and
2006. Last season, the squad won their second-straight CCC title and
advanced to the NAIA Region I Tournament semifinals - while being ranked as
high as No. 6 in the national poll. During her career, she has amassed a
record of 170-70, the most wins and highest winning percentage in school
history. In 2006, she led the Lady Yotes to their best season in program
history, compiling a 35-4 record - earning CCC and NAIA Region I Coach of the
Year honors. The Yotes won their first Cascade Conference championship in
24 years, becoming just the second school to complete the league schedule
without a loss. The Coyotes also captured their second-straight CCC
Tournament title, along with their second-straight NAIA Region I Tournament
title, before placing ninth at the NAIA Championships. Her team set a
school-record with 22 straight wins.

MEN’S SOCCER (5-2-1, 4-0 CCC): Coyotes return home riding a
four-game win streak, set to host NW Christian and Oregon Tech
LAST WEEK: at Evergreen State
(W 2-1), at Northwest (W 2-1)
COMING UP: vs. Northwest Christian, Friday, 4
p.m.; vs. Oregon
Tech, Saturday, 4 p.m.
YOTES RIDING A FOUR-GAME WIN STREAK: With road victories over Evergreen State and Northwest, The College of Idaho
men’s soccer team extended its winning streak to four – all of the wins on the
road. What is unique about the streak is
that it extends a longstanding record for the Coyotes in terms of win
streaks. Since the 1998 season, spanning
11 seasons, the Yotes have recorded a win streak of four-or-more games each
year. In 1998, the Yotes recorded a
four-game win streak; in 2005 and 2007, they had a five-game win streak; in
1999 and 2004, they had a six-game win streak; in 2002 and 2003, they had a
seven-game win streak, in 2000 and 2006, they had an eight-game win streak; and
in 2001, the Yotes recorded their school-record 11-game win streak.
ANOTHER SWEEP UP NORTH: The wins at Evergreen
State and Northwest allowed the Yotes
to complete a sweep on the long Seattle
swing for the third consecutive year – after dropping matches at Evergreen
during the 2004 and 2005 seasons.
LOGGING THE BUS MILES: During the four road wins, the
Coyotes traveled from Caldwell to Eugene and Klamath Falls, Ore., back to Caldwell,
then to Olympia and Kirkland,
Wash., and back to the Treasure Valley
a second time. Round trip over the two
weekend adventure – 1,587 miles.
DEFENSE IS THE KEY: In the four wins, the Coyotes never
trailed in any of the games – in fact, had multi-goal leads before their
opposition got on the board. Overall, in
the Yotes five wins (and the one draw), the squad has allowed one or fewer
goals – while in the two losses, The C of I has allowed two-or-more goals.
HOMECOMING DOUBLEHEADERS: Both weekend games at Symms Field are
doubleheaders – with the women’s team playing first, beginning at 2 p.m. The men’s game will begin 30 minutes
following the conclusion of the women’s match.
ABOUT NORTHWEST CHRISTIAN: For the second time in three weeks,
the Coyotes will meet Northwest
Christian on the pitch – this time in Caldwell. The Beacons (1-6-1, 0-4 CCC) are looking for
their first Cascade Conference win of the season – after dropping a double-overtime
decision at Oregon Tech last weekend.
NCU has been on the wrong side of multiple lopsided scores – including the
6-1 C of I win on Sept. 19, with opponents outscoring the Beacons 27-8 this
season, including a 183-86 shot deficit.
Greg Erickson (5 goals) is the team leader in goals, with both Chris
Senick (1 goal, 1 assist) and Shane Doster (1 goal, 1 assist) providing some
offensive punch. Defensively, keeper
Cuyler Ziegler (3.32 GAA) has logged the most minutes. It marks the fourth meeting between the two
schools, with the Yotes sweeping the first three match-ups by a combined 16-2
margin.
ABOUT OREGON TECH: Rounding out the weekend is a rematch
with Oregon Tech, whom the Yotes
defeated 4-1 on Sept. 20. It will mark a
long day for Owls (2-6-1, 1-2) coach Bryan Mueller – who will also be coaching
the OIT women’s game vs. the Lady Yotes prior to the men’s tilt. Tech logged their first-ever CCC victory last
weekend against Northwest Christian, ending a six-match losing streak. They are paced offensively by Dylan Durrell
(3 goals, 1 assist) and Leo Keiser (3 goals), while keeper Travis Bille (2.23
GAA) has been consistent. It is the
second all-time meeting between the teams.
CONFERENCE LEADERS: Four C of I players are among the CCC
Top-5 in statistical categories, heading into the week. Leading the way is Antonio Bautista (Homedale,
Idaho / Homedale HS), who leads the loop in goals (7), goals per game
(0.9), and points per game (2.0), while ranking second in total points
(16). Garga Caserta (Aracatuba, Brazil
/ North Idaho CC) leads the loop in total shots attempted (34) and shots
per game (4.2), while keeper Aaron
Reynolds (Boise, Idaho
/ Capital HS) is second in goals against average (1.17) and save percentage
(.820). Rounding out the group is Jesus Lopez (Nampa, Idaho / Skyview HS), who is third in
both total shots attempted (34) and shots per game (3.5).
CONFERENCE/NAIA RANKINGS: The fourth CCC Coaches Poll of the
regular-season was released on Monday, with the Coyotes jumping up to No. 3 in
the loop. Warner Pacific assumed the top
spot with a 3-1 victory over Concordia, with CU falling to No. 2. Behind the Yotes are Northwest and
Corban. WP was the lone CCC team in the
NAIA Top-25, entering the poll at No. 25, with Concordia receiving votes. The CCC poll is released each Monday, with
the NAIA poll released Tuesday afternoons.
GAME RECAP: C OF I 2, EVERGREEN
STATE 1: Antonio Bautista scored a pair of goals, lifting The C of I
to their third consecutive road victory, topping The Evergreen State College,
2-1, in Olympia, Wash,
on Friday afternoon. The Homedale native got the Yotes on the
board in the 13th minute, dribbling around a pair of Evergreen
defenders and beating Geoduck keeper Nathan Salveson to the far post. Bautista would tally his seventh goal of the
season early in the second half to make it 2-0, cracking an unassisted goal. The Geoducks would cut the margin in half in
the 59th minute as Matt Curry drove home a 20-yard shot off an Obed
Koussai pass – but could not get closer. The Yotes held a 19-10 edge in total shots –
but The C of I limited the Greeners to just three shots on goal.
GAME RECAP: C OF I 2, NORTHWEST 1: A pair of second half
goals lifted The C of I to a 2-1 victory over Northwest University at Lake Washington High in
Kirkland, Wash, on Saturday afternoon. The win for the Coyotes completed a perfect
4-0 road trip to start Cascade Conference play and was their 18th
straight win over the Eagles.
After a scoreless first half, Garga Caserta got The C of I on the board
in the 54th minute, bending in the final of six Coyote corner kicks
on the afternoon. The Yotes
would tally the eventual game-winner in the 72nd minute, as Brad Byers (Boise, Idaho / Capital HS) followed his own
miss of a penalty kick, slotting the rebound past Kyle Wall for a 2-0 lead. NU averted the shutout in the final minute,
as Micah Williams cracked a free kick into the net to complete the scoring. The Coyotes held a 13-10 edge in total shots.
ABOUT THE COACH: Brian
Smith (5th year, 46-27-43)
is in his fifth season as head coach of The C of I men's soccer team. In
his first season two seasons, the Coyotes narrowly missed a spot in the NAIA
Region I Tournament, despite a second and third-place finish in the Cascade
Conference standings. In 2006, however, the Yotes claimed their first CCC
title since 2001 and advanced to the regional semifinals. For his
efforts, the Coyote skipper was named CCC Coach of the Year. Last season,
the Yotes missed out on the postseason by one game. Smith, who helped the Coyotes to a 35-21-1 record
as a player for longtime coach, John Calpin, from 1990-93, returned to his alma
mater in 2004 after a successful high school coaching career in the Treasure
Valley. He coached the Timberline High School
boys’ team for three years, before taking over the THS girls’ program in 2002 –
earning Idaho State Coach-of-the-Year honors in 2001
and Southern Idaho Conference Coach-of-the-Year honors in 2003. After
earning All-District honors as a player and graduating from The C of I with a
degree in political science in 1994.
FOR MORE INFORMATION: For more information on the Coyote men’s
soccer program, head to the official homepage of the Coyotes, www.collegeofidaho.edu/athlete/menssoccer.htm.
WOMEN’S SOCCER (6-3, 2-0 CCC): Coyotes set for key Cascade
Conference home matches vs. Southern and Oregon Tech
LAST WEEK: at Evergreen State
(W 2-1), at Northwest (W 3-1)
COMING UP: vs. Southern Oregon, Friday, 2 p.m.;
vs. Oregon Tech,
Saturday, 2 p.m.
ANOTHER QUICK START IN CCC PLAY: The College of Idaho women’s soccer
team opened up the 2008 Cascade Conference slate with a pair of victories in
the Seattle area over the weekend – marking the third-straight season that they
have began the league season on the right note.
In 2005, the Lady Yotes opened 3-0-1 in CCC play; in 2006, they opened
4-0-1; while last year, the Coyotes began 3-0-2.
LADY YOTES HISTORY IN CCC: Since 1996, the Lady Yotes have
recorded a 44-76-10 record in CCC play – but are solid in league counters over
the past six years, notching a .500 or better record five times. The last two-plus seasons, the Coyotes have
been above the .500 mark, recording a 11-6-4 loop record – earning playoff
appearances in 2006 and 2007.
ROAD SWEEPS RARE: The wins at Evergreen
State and Northwest marked the first
time that the Lady Yotes had swept a road trip in Washington – and was just the second-time
all-time that they had swept a weekend road swing. The first time was last season, when the Lady
Yotes won at Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech
in late September.
SIX WINS – WHERE DOES THAT STAND: Heading into the week, the Lady Yotes
have a 6-3 record overall. In the 20
years of the program, The C of I has won more than six games in a season just
four times, while winning four or few games ten times. The most wins in a season by the Coyotes is
ten, set in 2002.
GOALS COMPARED TO LAST SEASON: Through nine games this season, the
Lady Yotes have scored 22 goals – eclipsing the total of 17 goals The C of I
scored in 19 games last year.
SCORING FIRST EQUALS WINS: In the Lady Yotes six wins, The C of
I has recorded the first goal of the game in five of the six games. However, in their three losses, the Yotes
have seen their opponent get on the scoreboard first.
HOMECOMING DOUBLEHEADERS: This weekend, both The C of I men’s
and women’s soccer teams will be at home as part of Homecoming Weekend. The Lady Yotes will play the early match (2
p.m.) on Friday and Saturday, with the men’s team to play 30 minutes following
the women’s game.
ABOUT SOUTHERN OREGON: Opening up the weekend of soccer for
the Coyotes is Southern
Oregon, who was picked to finish third in the CCC preseason
poll. However, the Raiders (3-6, 1-0 CCC)
have struggled with a very difficult preseason schedule – including losses to California powerhouses Vanguard, Westmont,
and Concordia-Irvine, but have won three of their last four matches. SOU is paced offensively by a quartet of
players – Kelly Cates (1 goal, 1 assist), Stacy Hamer (1 goal, 1 assist),
Denise Powell (1 goal, 1 assist), and Kelly Clark (1 goal, 1 assist), while
keeper Jessica Kuehlwien (1.68 GAA) has kept the Raiders in most matches. It marks the 12th meeting between the teams,
with the Yotes holding a 6-5 series edge, including winning the past three
contests.
ABOUT OREGON TECH: Rounding out the homestand is a
friendly with Oregon Tech, who is
coming off their best season in program history – after advancing to the NAIA
Region I Tournament for the first time.
The Owls (2-6-1, 1-0) ended a six-game losing streak last week with a
victory over Northwest Christian and their overall record is deceiving – as they
have lost five matches by a one goal margin.
Leading Tech offensively is Kelly Lewis (2 goals) and Marcy Taro (1
goal, 2 assists), with Jaclyn Unruh solid in goal (1.36 GAA). It is the 12th meeting between the teams,
with the Lady Yotes holding a 6-3-2 series edge.
LADY YOTES RECEIVE VOTES IN LATEST
NAIA POLL: For the
second time this season, the Lady Yotes have received votes in the NAIA Top-25
Coaches Poll, earning five voter points in the latest tabulation released from
the national office in Kansas City,
Mo. Five other C of I opponents were in the poll –
No. 5 Concordia, No. 11 Simon Fraser, with Carroll, Rocky Mountain, and
Dominican all receiving votes. The
Coyotes were second in this week’s Cascade Conference poll, trailing only
Concordia. Rounding out the Top-5 was
Northwest, Southern Oregon, and Corban. The CCC poll is released on Monday’s, with
the NAIA poll released on Tuesday afternoon.
GAME RECAP – C OF I 2, EVERGREEN
STATE 1: Kelly Hardegree-Ullman (Boise, Idaho /
Mountain View HS)scored the game-winning goal with just over eight minutes
remaining in regulation, as The C of I opened up Cascade Conference play with a
come-from-behind 2-1 victory over The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash.,
on Friday afternoon. The freshman took a
pass from Jessica Patton (Eagle, Idaho / Eagle HS) and cracked a shot
past keeper Sonja Daisley-Harrison for the Yotes first win of the season when their
opponent has scored first. “It was an
outstanding goal,” said head coach Niki
Taylor. “I am not sure how she got
it to go into the net – it was from a wicked angle.” The Geoducks got on the board first, thanks
to some help from the Coyotes. After a
shot from Emily Anderson was blocked, The C of I defense could not clear the
ball, knocking it into their own net for an own goal in the 17th
minute. However, the Lady Yotes battled
back, using a 23-11 edge in shots and a 10-1 edge in corner kicks to earn the
equalizer. In the 38th minute,
Ashley Page (Emmett, Idaho
/ Emmett HS) used a nifty move, after a combination from Chelsea Heffner (Meridian, Idaho
/ Mountain View HS) and Mandy Greif (Payette, Idaho
/ Payette HS), to find space and slotted home a counter to tie the game at
1-1. Freshman Tracy Diaz (Boise, Idaho
/ Timberline HS) earned the win in goal, turning away one shot on goal in
the second half. The Coyotes go for the
road sweep tomorrow afternoon, meeting Northwest University
at 2 p.m.
GAME RECAP – C OF I 3, NORTHWEST 1: A pair of goals in the
first 20 minutes of the match set the tone for The C of I, as the Lady Yotes
completed just their second road sweep in program history, topping Northwest
University, 3-1, Saturday at Lake
Washington High School. Less than a minute into the match, the
Coyotes were awarded a penalty kick, which Kelly Hardegree-Ullman converted, to
give the visitors the lead. At the 20-minute mark, the Yotes made it 2-0,
as Chelsea Heffner took a feed from Mandy Grief and scored. However, ten minutes later, the Eagles got a
goal back on a Rachael Harris score off a Shauna Marshall pass. The Yotes would close it out in the second
half, as Macy Egerman (Boise, Idaho / Boise
HS) used a nifty move off a Grief feed to score her third goal of the season
in the 59th minute.
The Purple and Gold held a 12-7 edge in shots, while both teams had two
corner kicks.
ABOUT THE COACH: Niki Taylor (21-20-5) is in her third season as head coach of The C of I
women's soccer program. In her two seasons with the Coyotes, she helped
the Lady Yotes to their first-ever back-to-back playoff appearances, including
their first-ever postseason win in 2007, advancing to the Cascade Conference
Tournament semifinals. A graduate of Truman State
University in Kirksville,
Mo., Taylor
was an honorable mention all-conference player for the Bulldogs in 1999 and
2000, helping the squad to the NCAA Division II regional championships.
She went on to assist coach Mike Cannon during the 2001 season, helping TSU to
the regional finals, then moved West, where she was an assistant for Steve
Lucas at Boise State for three seasons.
She has also been involved with the Les Bois United Soccer Club for the
past five years, while serving as a head coach in the Idaho Olympic Development
Program. Taylor
has received her USSF "B" Coaching License.
