Women's Sports

Over the past decade, The College of Idaho has fielded one of the more successful women's intercollegiate athletic programs in the Pacific Northwest. Three sports - basketball, volleyball and cross country - have finished in the Top-10 of their respective national tournaments, while each of the 10 Lady Yote teams have had success on the field, court, track or hill.

The women's alpine ski team has advanced to 13-straight USCSA National Championships, while The C of I volleyball team has won six-straight Cascade Conference titles and advanced to six of the last seven NAIA National Championships.  The cross country program has made four-straight trips to the NAIA Championships, winning CCC titles in 2008, 2009, and 2011, the basketball team has advanced to three-straight NAIA Division II National Championships. and the softball team made trips to the NAIA National Championships in 2008 and 2009.  Both the swimming and track & field teams send countless competitors to their respective national events, while the soccer program has advanced to the postseason each of the last six years.  The golf program has been ranked in the NAIA Top-25 each of the past two seasons, while the tennis team was among the best NAIA programs in the Northwest during the 1990s.

Lady Yote student-athletes are truly that - student-athletes, as every women's team has been honored as a Scholar-Team by the NAIA or USCSA at least once in the past three seasons.
