College of Idaho outfielder Izaac Garsez was named to the Rawlings-NAIA All-America team as a first-team selection, announced this afternoon by the national office in Kansas City, Mo.
The senior, from Caldwell, is the first first-team selection for the Coyotes since 1998, and just the second in program history. Levi Lacey earned first-team honors in both 1997 and 1998.
Garsez hit .389 with eight home runs and 53 RBI, along with 20 doubles, 12 triples, and 29 stolen bases. He was also named NAIA West Player of the Year and was a 2012 Preseason NAIA All-American.
