Final from Tennessee

Trish Gibbens finished in a six-way tie for 46th-place as The College of Idaho closed out play at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.

The junior shot a final round 83 to finish at 317 over the 72-hole event (+25), 25 shots behind medalist Megan Woodland of the University of Victoria.  The University of British Columbia won the team title by two strokes over SCAD-Savannah.

Gibbens named Red Lion Women's Golfer of the Week

College of Idaho's Trish Gibbens was honored today as Red Lion Cascade Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office in Portland, Ore.

The junior, from Caldwell, earned medalist honors at the Corban Invitational, rallying from a two-stroke deficit in the final round, carding a 74 to win the event by two strokes.  It marked the fifth time in her career that Gibbens has earned the conference honor.

The C of I has completed the Fall portion of their schedule and will return to action in March.

Gibbens earns medalist honors at Corban Invite

Trish Gibbens overcame a two-shot deficit heading into today’s final round, carding a two-over 74 to earn medalist honors at the Corban University Invitational, at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Ore.

Gibbens was joined in the Top-3 by teammate Baylee Borchers, who logged a 75 today to place third, but the Lady Yotes finished second to rival Concordia.

The C of I men shook off a rough opening round to post the second-best score in each of the final two rounds to rally for a third-place finish.
