Bitner Vineyards to host ‘Bud to Blossom’ fundraiser

Bitner Vineyards in Caldwell is set to host the inaugural “Bud to Blossom” event, a celebration aimed at raising funds for The College of Idaho’s Taste of the Harvest Scholarship. “Bud to Blossom” will be held from noon to 5 p.m. May 5 at Bitner Vineyards, located at 16645 Plum Road in Caldwell. Adult tickets may be purchased for $20 in advance at http://growlocalusa.com or for $25 at the door.

Whittenberger Planetarium hosts May public show

Idaho will experience a partial eclipse on May 20. Thanks to The College of Idaho’s Whittenberger Planetarium, Idahoans will have an opportunity to learn about the eclipse in advance when the planetarium hosts a public show at 7 p.m. May 9 inside Boone Science Hall on the C of I campus in Caldwell.

College of Idaho readies for 2012 commencement

The College of Idaho will celebrate the graduating Class of 2012 during its annual commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, in Morrison Quadrangle at the heart of campus. Writer and editor Joan Houston Hall will deliver a commencement address entitled “Words along the Way,” capping a weekend of celebration at Idaho’s oldest liberal arts college.
