The College of Idaho’s Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History is pleased to present Bug Day, the annual celebration of insects that is becoming one of the museum’s signature events. Bug Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Idaho Botanical Garden in Boise. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children and IBG members.
The College of Idaho’s first football game in 37 years is just one month away, and tickets remain available to watch the Coyotes’ historic return to the gridiron. The C of I today has opened single-game ticket sales, with adult seats available for just $11 per game.
The College of Idaho is set to host “Batter Up: Baseball in American Culture,” a week of free public programming happening July 13-17 as part of the Idaho Humanities Council’s Summer Institute for Idaho Teachers. The institute includes four public events, each set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Langroise Center for Performing and Fine Arts on the C of I campus in Caldwell.
The College of Idaho has always had a strong relationship with Caldwell. Service is a particularly important component of the College’s ties to the local community, and the campus capitalized on a big opportunity to serve Nov. 23 as Campus Ministries held its annual Rake Up Caldwell event.
“We are surrounded by a fantastic community that supports us to further our education and reach our goals” said C of I junior and Rake Up Caldwell supervisor Jocelyn Allen. “I think it is so key that we as students are given opportunities to give back to the community we live in.”
Caldwell Fine Arts at The College of Idaho is proud to present the Eugene Ballet’s timeless holiday classic Nutcracker, set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 inside Jewett Auditorium on the C of I campus in Caldwell. The ballet has become a treasured holiday tradition for Caldwell Fine Arts as the enchanting Sugar Plum Fairy, the scheming Mouse King and the brave Nutcracker Prince capture the imaginations of both children and adults year after year.
The College of Idaho will host the eighth annual Langroise Holiday Arts Fair on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the foyer of the Langroise Center for Performing and Fine Arts on the C of I campus in Caldwell. The fair, which is free and open to the public, features artwork created by College of Idaho students, faculty, staff and alumni.
