The College of Idaho Chamber Singers, led by Professor Brent Wells, are performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City this spring as part of the prestigious Distinguished Concerts International New York series. The student group is spending six days in New York, highlighted by a March 24 concert featuring the music of Grammy Award-winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre.
The College of Idaho Music Department is pleased to announce its 2013 opera production, an adapted performance of G.F. Handel’s "Semele." The opera will show at 7:30 p.m. nightly from Jan. 31 through Feb. 2, with a special 2 p.m. matinee performance on Feb. 2. All shows will take place inside Langroise Recital Hall. The College of Idaho music department is pleased to present an evening of strings as the student chamber music recital takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, inside Langroise Recital Hall on the C of I campus in Caldwell. The concert is free and open to the entire campus community and the public.
The College of Idaho music department is prepared to ring in the holiday season with its annual choir concert, the Feast of Carols. This C of I tradition will showcase traditional Christmas music and other holiday favorites performed by the C of I Chorale and Chamber Singers, Sinfonia and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. The Feast of Carols is set for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 in Jewett Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. It will be followed by holiday refreshments in the foyer of the adjacent Langroise Center.
The College of Idaho will host the seventh annual Langroise Holiday Arts Fair on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the foyer of the Langroise Center for Performing and Fine Arts on the C of I campus in Caldwell. The fair, which is free and open to the public, presents an opportunity to view and purchase art created by College of Idaho students, faculty, staff and alumni.
The College of Idaho is pleased to announce its Fall 2012 Student Art Exhibition, opening Nov. 20 inside the Langroise Center for Performing and Fine Arts on the C of I campus in Caldwell. The show, which runs through Dec. 6, will kick off with a Nov. 20 opening reception featuring live music and refreshments from 4 to 6 p.m. Both the show and the reception are free and open to the campus community and the public.

The College of Idaho Art Club is set to host its inaugural community Chalk Art Competition from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, on the C of I Campus in Caldwell. The event is being held in conjunction with the College’s Homecoming festivities and will take place on the sidewalks around McCain Student Center. The competition is free and open to participants and observers of all ages.
The College of Idaho Department of Theatre & Speech Arts is pleased to present its fall main stage production, "Pericles, Prince of Tyre." The play opens Nov. 9 and shows at 7:30 p.m. nightly Nov. 9-10 and Nov. 15-17 with a closing matinee show at 2 p.m. Nov. 18. Caldwell Fine Arts is set to kick off its 52nd season celebrating the performing arts inside Jewett Auditorium at The College of Idaho. The 2012-2013 season begins Sept. 8 with the Beat Beethoven 5K Fun Run fundraiser and will feature 14 events and performances starring a wide variety of theatre, dance and musical guests throughout the school year.
