C of I student prepares for environmental leadership

Hiking, skiing, horseback riding. Growing up in Ketchum encircled by central Idaho’s rugged Sawtooth, Pioneer and Boulder mountains, College of Idaho senior Tanya Greenwood never found herself lacking an opportunity to explore and enjoy the outdoors.

This summer, Greenwood is translating her appreciation for those spectacular wild areas into public advocacy and outreach with assistance from a College of Idaho program created to help students interested in environmental issues develop their leadership abilities.

Coyote Reunion set for June 27-29 on campus

Football is officially back at The College of Idaho, and it’s time to celebrate! All C of I alumni and friends – including former football players and student-athletes from all Coyote teams – are invited to join us June 27-29 as the College hosts the Coyote Reunion celebrating the return of football as well as the soon-to-be-built Athletics and Outdoor Education Center.

College of Idaho honors Spring 2013 Dean’s List

The College of Idaho congratulates the 211 students who made the Spring 2013 Dean’s List. To receive Dean's List recognition, a student must complete at least nine graded credits and achieve a GPA of 3.75 or higher for the semester. About 20 percent of the College’s total enrollment made the Dean’s List during the spring semester. Students honored are listed below by hometown:

C of I professor receives Idaho’s top literary award

College of Idaho professor and alumna Diane Raptosh has won her second major literary award of the year with the announcement by the Idaho Commission on the Arts that she will serve as the state’s Writer in Residence.

Students bring smiles to India through peace project

Each year in India, thousands of babies are born with cleft lip and palate deformities – conditions that can lead not only to health and communication problems, but also to negative social stigmas.

C of I alumnus Bundgard named CEO of Influence

College of Idaho alumnus Tim Bundgard ’72 has been named a 2013 CEO of Influence by the Idaho Business Review. Bundgard, the President and CEO of Pioneer Title Company in Boise, and his fellow award winners will be honored during a May 9 ceremony at the downtown Boise Centre on the Grove. Student moves forward with Swaziland project

College of Idaho student Makhosazana “Khosi” Nkambule will spend her summer locating villages with large orphan populations in her native Swaziland as part of her plan to help alleviate poverty. The sophomore’s project has received support from the market and social research firm ActivQuest and is working to secure funding from Rising Tides, a program that promotes self-sufficiency for young people leaving the foster care system.

C of I publishes spring 2013 issue of ‘Quest’ magazine

The spring 2013 issue of The College of Idaho’s “Quest” magazine is in mailboxes now! The issue has a theme of “Scholarship,” honoring the College’s long-standing tradition of academic excellence and the many scholarly accomplishments of C of I students, faculty and alumni.

College of Idaho set for 2013 commencement

The College of Idaho is set to celebrate the graduating class of 2013 during its annual commencement ceremony, which begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, in Morrison Quadrangle on the C of I campus in Caldwell.
