Halfpipe Closes USCSA Nationals

A pair of third-place finishes by The College of Idaho women's teams in the halfpipe closed out the 2012 USCSA National Championships at Sunday River Resort in Bethel, Maine.

The Lady Yote snowboard squad picked up their third-straight third-place finish, helping the team place third overall in the snowboard combined.  McKinley Carbone capped a great week with a fourth-place finish in the halfpipe, with Sarah Silva taking seventh - both earning All-America honors in the event.  Both competitors also finished in the Top-10 in the individual snowboard combined - Carbone taking fifth and Silva eighth, good enough for All-America honors.

A solid performance by Trisha Randazzo helped the Lady Yotes to a third-place finish in the halfpipe.  Randazzo finished fifth in the event, good enough for All-American honors - with a tenth-place finish in the freestyle combined earning All-America honors as well.  The squad placed fifth overall in the combined.

The men's freestyle team struggled for a third-straight day - placing seventh overall in the halfpipe.  Skylar Herbert had the top finish for the Yotes, placing 18th.  The C of I finished fourth overall in the combined standings, with Cliff Mailloux the top men's competitor for the Yotes, placing 11th.
