OIT (26-4, 9-1 CCC) used a four-run fifth inning to break open a tight Game 1, then scored nine unanswered runs to erase a C of I lead in Game 2, winning the contest via the eight-run mercy rule.

Yotes Win Marathon Game

Kendall Pavey ripped an RBI single in the top of the 14th inning, helping The College of Idaho to a doubleheader split with Southern Oregon, winning the opener, 7-5, before losing the nightcap, 11-1, in Ashland, Ore.

More Schedule Changes...

Weather in the Pacific Northwest continues to cause softball coaches in the Cascade Conference to alter schedules - including the Lady Yotes trip this weekend.

Instead of a Friday-Saturday road swing, The C of I will play a doubleheader at Southern Oregon on Sunday morning, followed by a Monday twinbill at Oregon Tech.  Both will begin at 11 a.m. (PT)

The rescheduling adds to two other doubleheaders this season that have been moved to new dates - April 10 at Eastern Oregon and April 17 vs. Northwest Nazarene in Caldwell.
