lady yotes #18 in NAIA POLL

The College of Idaho women's golf team was ranked No. 18 in the first NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll of the spring, announced this afternoon by the national office in Kansas City, Mo.

It marks the highest regular-season ranking for the Lady Yotes, who were ranked No. 20 last season.  The C of I was No. 17 in the preseason balloting, released in November.

The Coyotes received 163 voter points in the tabulation, joined in the poll by fellow Cascade Conference rival Concordia, who was ranked No. 13.  No. 2 Lee, No. 5 Northwood, No. 6 William Woods, No. 7 USC-Beaufort - who all finished above the Yotes at the NAIA Fall Preview, were in the poll, along with No. 13 Cumberlands and No. 17 Bethel - whom The C of I finished ahead of in the tournament.

The C of I opens up the second half of CCC play Monday and Tuesday at the Concordia Invitational in Camas, Wash.
