lady yotes ranked #22 in NAIA poll 

For the first time in over two seasons, The College of Idaho climbed into the Top-25 as the first NAIA Softball Coaches' Poll of the 2012 regular-season was released this afternoon by the national office in Kansas City, Mo.

The Lady Yotes (18-4) were ranked No. 22 - the first ranking since the team opened the 2010 season ranked No. 15 in the Preseason Top-25 poll.  The C of I received 168 voter points in the tabulation - one of four Cascade Conference teams in this week's ranking.  Oregon Tech was ranked No. 5, Corban was ranked No. 16, with Concordia receiving votes. 

Two preseason oppoents' were in the poll - No. 3 Concordia-Irvine, with William Jessup receiving votes.  Cal-State San Marcos was ranked No. 1, followed by Lubbock Christian (Texas), Concordia-Irvine, Oklahoma City, and Oregon Tech.

The Lady Yotes return to action this weekend, hosting Concordia (Ore.) on Friday and Northwest Christian on Saturday.
