corban sweeps DH from Coyotes

The College of Idaho hit just 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position on the afternoon, as Corban University stunned the No. 21 ranked Coyotes, sweeping today’s doubleheader at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer, Ore.

The Warriors (28-21, 16-15 NAIA West) hung on to win Game 1, 3-2, while using a three-run seventh inning rally to win Game 2, 7-3.  The losses by the Yotes (36-16, 21-11) hurt the squads chances for an at-large berth to the NAIA National Championships if the team fails to win next week’s NAIA West Grouping Tournament.
