coyotes ranked #24 in NAIA POLL 

With three road victories last weekend, The College of Idaho surged back into NAIA Top-25 Coaches Poll for the second time this season, climbing to No. 24 in the latest tabulation, released this afternoon by the national office in Kansas City, Mo.. 

The C of I (32-12) received 130 voter points in the poll, 83 more points than last week - climbing from the fourth spot in the "others receiving votes" category.

cracroft earns medalist honors at CCC'S 

Jocie Cracroft shot a career-best one-under 71 to earn co-medalist honors as the 2012 Cascade Conference Championships concluded this morning at Diamond Woods Golf Course.

GIESIE shoots 70, yotes lead after round 1 

Austen Giesie fired a two-under 70 to help The College of Idaho men grab the Day 1 lead at the rain-shortened Cascade Conference Championships, hosted by Northwest Christian, at Diamond Woods Golf Course.

coyotes sweep CCC weekly awards

The College of Idaho swept the latest Red Lion-Cascade Conference weekly awards, announced this afternoon by the league office in La Grande, Ore.

Right-hander Taylor Nicholson was named Pitcher of the Week, while centerfielder Tyler Andazola was named Player of the Week.

skinner earns 6th CCC Pitcher of the Week 

For the sixth time this season, College of Idaho right-hander Nickayla Skinner was named Red Lion-Cascade Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced this afternoon by the league office in La Grande, Ore.

pitching and defense carry yotes past Patten 

Tyler Andazola went 5-for-6 and College of Idaho pitchers did not allow an earned run in 18 innings of work, as the Coyotes swept a doubleheader from Patten University, 9-0 and 5-1, at Laney Field in Oakland, Calif.

The Coyotes (32-12, 17-7 NAIA West) maintained their lead in the race for the top seed for the NAIA West Tournament heading into the final two weekends of the regular-season.  The C of I holds a three-game lead on British Columbia and a four-game lead on Menlo in the loss column.

College of Idaho athletes won five events at today's Eastern Oregon Open in La Grande, Ore.

squeeze bunt helps yotes to split at patten 

A suicide squeeze bunt by Todd Griffiths in the ninth inning helped The College of Idaho salvage a doubleheader split at Patten University, as the Lions won Game 1, 3-2, before the Yotes stole Game 2, 11-7, in Alameda, Calif.

lady yotes split at Concordia 

Nickayla Skinner roped a three-run double in a four-run third inning outburst in Game 2, as The College of Idaho split a doubleheader with Concordia University, dropping the opener, 2-1, but earning a 4-1 win in the nightcap at Delta Park in Portland, Ore.

The split keeps the Lady Yotes (28-12, 11-9 CCC) playoff hopes alive, but forces the squad to sweep a pair of doubleheaders next weekend to climb from fourth-place in the conference standings.

yotes hit 6 naia marks at western oregon 

School record performances by Sora Klopfenstein and Mike Hurd were among the six NAIA national qualifying marks established by College of Idaho competitors at the John Knight Twiligh, hosted by Western Oregon University, in Monmouth, Ore.

Klopfenstein hit the NAIA "A" mark in placing fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking a time of 11:07.65.  Hurd knocked over a second off the 400-meter hurdle record, establishing an NAIA "B" mark with his second-place finish in 54.31.
