A rare double-eagle by Baylee Borchers was the highlight of The College of Idaho's performance today at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at Link Hills Golf Club in Greeneville, Tenn.

gibbens, cracroft named scholar-athletes 

Two College of Idaho women's golfers were among the 105 student-athletes honored today as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, announced prior to Round 3 of the NAIA National Championships in Greeneville, Tenn.

Juniors Trish Gibbens and Jocie Cracroft were honored for having being at least a junior in academic status and maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better at The C of I.

rough round 2 at nationals for lady yotes 

The College of Idaho struggled in Round 2 of the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships, limping to a team score of 333 during their afternoon tee-time at Link Hills Golf Club in Greeneville, Tenn.

The Lady Yotes fell from 17th place to 21st after 36 holes - needing to be in the Top-17 after tomorrow's round to qualify for Friday's final pairings.

gibbens 3rd, lady yotes 17th after day 1 

Trish Gibbens holed out her second shot on the Par-4 seventh hole for an eagle, helping her to a one-under 72, leading The College of Idaho women's golf team after Round 1 of the NAIA National Championships at Link Hills Golf Club in Greeneville, Tenn.

Gibbens sits tied for third after 18 holes, one of four players to post scores under par in Round 1.

Tanner Hodges eluded the tag of catcher Matt Page to score the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning, lifting The College of Idaho to a 7-6 victory over Azusa Pacific in the championship game of the NAIA Baseball Championships Opening Round site in Azusa, Calif.

The College of Idaho will welcome football back to its campus, a move that also establishes the only small college football program in the state of Idaho.

Azusa Pacific jumped out to a 5-0 lead and hung on in the late innings, defeating The College of Idaho, 5-2, to force a winner-take-all championship game Monday at the NAIA Baseball National Championships Opening Round site in Azusa, Calif.

griffiths blanks menlo, yotes a win away from series 

Todd Griffiths tossed a complete game five-hit shutout, helping The College of Idaho within one win of their first trip to the AVISTA-NAIA World Series since 2002, defeating rival Menlo College, 7-0, the the semifinal round of the NAIA National Championships Opening Round in Azusa, Calif.

The Coyotes (40-18), who recorded their ninth 40-win season in program history with the victory, will meet the winner of Azusa Pacific and Menlo, tomorrow at 5 p.m. (PT)

C of I on record pace at CCC Championships 

Jasmine Sibert and Hillary Holt defended their Cascade Conference titles this evening, leading The College of Idaho on Day 2 of the CCC Championships in Klamath Falls, Ore.

Sibert won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.50, while Holt earned a win in the 1,500 with her time of 4:37.32 - as the Lady Yotes sit in second-place with 105 team points, while the Coyote men are fourth with 73 points, both on pace for their best finishes in program history.  Five school records also fell on the middle day of the event.

yotes stop shorter, win NAIA Opener 

The College of Idaho pounded out 16 hits, using a four-run ninth inning to defeat No. 18 ranked Shorter University, 6-4, in Game 2 of the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round in Azusa, Calif.
