garsez returns home as a boise hawk 

Former College of Idaho All-American Izaac Garsez returned to the Treasure Valley today, as the Chicago Cubs' farmhand was assigned to the Boise Hawks from the rookie-level Mesa Cubs.

The two-time NAIA All-American, drafted in the 30th Round of the 2012 MLB First Year Players Draft, batted .273 with a homer, three triples, four stolen bases, and eight RBI in the Arizona Rookie League, before his promotion to Boise.

swim team pushes recruiting class to 19

College of Idaho swim coach Christine Mabile has announced the signing of five student-athletes to NAIA Letters of Intent for the 2012-13 season, brining her total of incoming recruits to 19.

Three women - Madi Sato, Tori Emerick, and Hannah Biedenbach, and two men - Nolan Hill and Brennan Baker, will compete for the Coyote teams which placed in the Top-20 at last season's NAIA National Championships.
