The Calm

I'll be honest--when I bought this scroll in Disney World a couple of years ago, it was only because I thought it looked pretty sweet hanging in the small Epcot shop that was selling them. I'm a sucker for Asian calligraphy, and this was about as authentically Japanese as I could hope to find, so it was an easy decision to buy it.

First Week on Campus

I arrived on campus on Sunday, which means I’ve been away from home for a little under a week, though not very much of that time has been spent on campus. I moved all of my stuff into my dorm on Sunday morning, said goodbye to my dad, and proceeded to a resident safety meeting, followed by a cross country team meeting. I did have the chance to eat a few delicious meals in Simplot before heading to McCall for training camp on Payette Lake.

Things I have to do:

1. Pack up everything in my current room.

2. Pay last month's rent.

3. Finish summer reading.

4. Find a kitchen table.

5. Order textbooks.

6. Stop procrastinating and pack up everything in my current room.

7. Continue final preparations for a Psychology Study this weekend.

8. Fix sandals.

9. Abandon attempt to fix sandals. Buy new sandals.

10. Begin my senior year of college, being introduced as a TA in Social Psychology next Friday.
