C of I senior seeks public office as youngest Idaho legislative candidate

Two years ago as a sophomore at The College of Idaho, Sead Muradbegovic successfully campaigned to join the student senate out of a desire to help the campus community.

Now a senior with a taste for public service, Muradbegovic has his sights set on helping an even wider community as a candidate for the Idaho State Legislature, running as a Democrat for the office of District 10A State Representative.

C of I professor to receive Governor’s Award in the Arts

College of Idaho English Professor Diane Raptosh has received numerous accolades across her prestigious career in the literary arts, including a stint as Idaho’s Writer-in-Residence, Boise’s first Poet Laureate, and a longlist nominee for the 2013 National Book Award for “American Amnesiac,” one of her five collections of published poetry.

Wagers Memorial Garden completes improvements

Just before noon on Oct. 5, 2018, the sun peeked out from behind its cloud cover and past the trees lining the perimeter of The College of Idaho’s recently improved Wagers Memorial Garden, named in honor of former C of I Trustee John W. Wagers ‘57. C of I co-president Jim Everett noted the significance of the timing – the appropriateness for sunlight to grace the garden after a cloudy and foggy start to the morning, just before the garden completed its formal ribbon cutting.

The downpour of rain in Caldwell wasn’t enough to dampen a spirited start to The College of Idaho’s 2018 Homecoming and Family Weekend, which began its exciting schedule of events by recognizing the 2018 recipients of the College’s Distinguished Alumni Awards on the evening of Oct. 4, 2018.
