C of I hosts 6th Annual Caldwell Youth Forum

“How many of you think you’re role models?”

College of Idaho Co-President Jim Everett asked this question as he stood before a group of 75 high school students, assembled on the C of I campus as part of the 6th Annual Caldwell Youth Forum. Some of the students looked uncertainly around the room; a handful slowly raised their hands.

“Come on, who in this room is a role model?” Everett challenged the students. “I’ll keep this going until everyone’s hands are up.”

Before long, the students had all confidently raised their hands. Everett smiled encouragingly at each of them.

The College of Idaho has reached a record high ranking in the U.S. News & World Report Best College Rankings.

In a season full of renewed interest and national attention, The College of Idaho has made a major impression in the rankings of the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best College Rankings, catapulting to No. 131 in its list of “Best National Liberal Arts Colleges” — the highest position the College has achieved on the prestigious annual ranking.

The College of Idaho has once again received recognition as the top school in the state of Idaho by the Wall Street Journal, ranking as the number one school in Idaho and among the Top 400 four-year institutions nationally in the 2019 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education U.S. College Rankings.

The construction of the Smith Welcoming Arches at The College of Idaho officially began on Thursday, Sept. 6 with the same spirit of welcoming and optimism the arches themselves will soon display.

The College of Idaho sends its condolences to the friends and family of Professor Emeritus Wallace “Wally” G. Lonergan, a C of I graduate and later longtime member of the C of I’s business faculty who passed away in Caldwell, Idaho from natural causes on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018 at the age of 90.

The College of Idaho was named a College Raptor U.S. Hidden Gem for 2019.
