A Very Yotie Christmas

It’s crunch time, readers. The last hurdle. The semester’s crescendo. The final frontier.

Finals week starts today and it’s taking a toll on all of us. The stress and tension the whole campus is experiencing is causing an eerie, hushed mood to fall over everything.

And frankly, I do not care for it. Not a bit.

The Lion King

For the longest time, I refused to watch The Lion King II because the first one meant so much to me and remains my favorite movie. Nonetheless,  I decided to watch it and I found it interesting that I could see it from a different percepective than I did when I was younger.

Freezing Finals

Finals week is upon us at the College, as are single digit temperatures. The cold is at least conducive to hunkering down, but I’m more inclined to huddle under multiple blankets rather than curl up with my accounting textbook. I also refuse to trek to the library in these temperatures, and am trying to study in my apartment where the refuge of extra clothes and blankets are readily available. The upside to this, aside from keeping a little warmer, is that I won't have to fight for study space.

Parties Aplenty

My week has been so crazy that somebody might need to call me a doctor.

Or, you know, 11.

Holiday Responsibility

We’re a day away from Thanksgiving, and indications include the appearance of the “Pilgrim Panini” in the Caf and an abundance of canned food drives. The C of I Thanksgiving break is only a few days long, but it’s not too much of a downer, as we’re off for Christmas break just two weeks after Thanksgiving.

Art in a Cave

Fall Fling was just a couple of months ago and I am pretty sure we still remember the outstanding performances by Andy O, Axiom and The Armada ID. Well, I spent some time in my freshman year with some of those guys and it is incredible what they have achieved. Let me tell you why;

Raking and Snowball Fights

Usually, I am really excited for the first snow. Growing up in Utah, we got quite a lot of snow, so now that I live in relatively-snow-free Caldwell (at least until January), I get even more excited. But this year, alas, I was not excited to see that blanket of white upon the grass in Boise.

Lacrimosa

November has really been plugging along, hasn’t it? All the weeks since the end of fall break seem to have passed by at a breakneck, Usain Bolt-like pace, to the point that Thanksgiving is less than a week away. Every day in my classes after I write the day’s date at the top of my notes, I always just stare at that steadily increasing number, as if glaring at it hard enough would magically shift the month back a week.

Blogger with the Bathwater

I’m killing two birds with one stone (or simply “multi-tasking” if you are against avian violence) for this week’s entry, readers. For my Intro to Theatre class I needed to write an analysis of C of I’s fall production, Baby with the Bathwater.

8 week slump

It's been 8 weeks of school here at C of I and I've had one of the best times of my life. I've made some great friends, had some crazy times and learned a lot. Halloween was awesome, bowling night was a ton of fun, and the Yote Fam cheer section at the NNU game was crazy to be a part of.
