Big CCC Championships

Both College of Idaho track and field teams recorded their best finishes ever at the Cascade Conference Championships in Klamath Falls, Ore.

The Lady Yotes finished second overall with 164.50 points, behind only six-time champion, Concordia, while the Coyote men finished third with 121.50 points - behind seven-time defending champion, Concordia, and Southern Oregon.  Both teams defeated Eastern Oregon in a scoring meet for the first time.

Head coach Pat McCurry earned Women's Coach of the Year honors at the conclusion of the meet.

Greg Montgomery picked up his second conference title in his career, winning today's 5,000-meters, while Audrey Youren broke the school record in winning the high jump (5-5), hitting an NAIA "B" mark along the way.  Hillary Holt placed third in the 800-meters, hitting an NAIA "A" standard, as did Jasmine Sibert in the 400-hurdles, placing second.
