Holt Named Runner of the Week

College of Idaho All-American Hillary Holt was honored today as Red Lion-Cascade Conference Women's Indoor Track Runner of the Week, announced by the league office in La Grande, Ore.

The sophomore, from Boise, established a pair of school records and hit two NAIA "A" qualifying marks at this past weekend's Boise State Team Challenge in Nampa.

Holt Runs Fastest Indoor Mile in NAIA

College of Idaho sophomore Hillary Holt ran the fastest indoor mile in the NAIA this season, leading a talented Coyote contingent at the Boise State Team Challenge at the Jackson's Indoor Track.

The Boise native won the "A" heat - featuring top NCAA Division I talent, in a time of 4:56.02, the first time a Lady Yote has cracked the five minute barrier. Her time puts her atop the top times heading into the NAIA Indoor National Championships in Geneva, Ohio.

Women's DMR Headed to Nationals

A dominating performance by The College of Idaho women's distance medley relay team capped an oustanding opening day of the 2012 Boise State Team Challenge, inside the Jackson's Indoor Track in Nampa.

The team of Hillary Holt, Jasmine Sibert, Kayloni Perry, and Sarah Johnson easily outdistanced the University of Nevada and Stanislaus State for the win, recording the second-fastest time in the NAIA this season with their mark of 12:07.60.  The time established a new school-record in the event and hit the NAIA "A" qualifying standard.

Hurd Breaks Hurdle Record in Debut

Mike Hurd make his College of Idaho debut today at the Bronco Invite in Nampa this afternoon, setting a new indoor school record in the 60-meter hurdles.

The sophomore, from Payette, broke the record in the preliminary heat with a time of 8.55, following it up with a 8.51 run in the final - placing fifth.  He also competed in the long jump, finishing eighth.

In Pocatello, Derek Janssen competed in the Mountain State Games, placing third in the 800-meters with a time of 2;02.

The entire C of I team will be in action next weekend at the Boise State Team Challenge.
