College of Idaho sprinter Diamond Mitchell was honored today as Cascade Conference Women's Track and Field Runner of the Week, announced by the league office in La Grande, Ore.

The sophomore, from San Diego, Calif., opened up the outdoor season with a bang - winning the 100 and 200-meter events at Saturday's Pacific Preview.  Mitchell established two school records with her time of 12.50 in the 100 and 25.71 in the 200, both CCC Championships qualifying marks.

The Yotes will have the week off, preparing for the All-Idaho Collegiate Cup, March 30-31.
