Orma J. Smith Museum monthly workday
The College of Idaho's Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History hosts its monthly volunteer workday, where students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the College and the O.J. Smith Museum are invited to help organize the museum's collections, set up new exhibits and help with general maintenance and care of the museum, located in the basement of Boone Hall. The workdays typically last form 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and all participants are treated to a free lunch and lunchtime seminar exploring topics of interest to the museum. The January lunchtime seminar is "Biodiversity and Natural History of Desert Ants in Big Bend National Park, Texas: A Preliminary Evaluation of Selected Spring/Riparian Habitats," presented by Orma J. Smith Museum director William Clark. For more information, visit www.collegeofidaho.edu/museum.
