Orma J. Smith Museum monthly workday
The College of Idaho's Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History hosts its monthly volunteer workday, where students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the College and the O.J. Smith Museum are invited to help organize the museum's collections, set up new exhibits and help with general maintenance and care of the museum, located in the basement of Boone Hall. The workdays typically last form 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and all participants are treated to a free lunch and lunchtime seminar exploring topics of interest to the museum. The November lunchtime seminar is “Ground Squirrels as Ecosystem Engineers,” presented by C of I biology professor Dr. Eric Yensen. For more information, visit www.collegeofidaho.edu/museum.
