Policies and Procedures

Trip and Workshop Sign up

Come by the Outdoor Program office during office hours or email us to sign up for any of the trips or workshops we offer. If there is a fee required, a check for the total amount of the trip is required when you sign up in order to reserve you a spot. Separate checks are required for each activity you wish to attend. Please make checks payable to The College of Idaho Outdoor Program. If a trip is full, your check will be returned to you and your name will be placed on the waiting list.

Pre-trip Meetings

Meetings will be scheduled for most overnight trips. Attendance at these meetings is mandatory! At these meetings we will discuss meals, equipment use, transportation, trip times, and the itinerary. These meetings are a vital part of the trip so you must attend.

Refund Deadline

This is the last day you can cancel and still get your money back. After the refund date, you can get your money back only if you or a staff member can find someone to fill your place. This policy is intended to prevent people from canceling at the last minute and helps to keep the cost of the trips down.

EQUIPMENT

The Outdoor Program has all the necessary equipment available you will need for the trips to include backpacks, tents, stoves, cooking gear, and sleeping bags. We will do our best to outfit your particular needs from our rental shop inventory.

Liability Waiver Form

We require that you sign a release before each trip. The Outdoor Program expects you to act in a safe manner wherein you are not placing yourself or others in harm’s way. Participants on these trips are representing The College of Idaho and are expected to follow the college rules and guidelines to include, but not limited to, The College of Idaho alcohol policy. The liability waiver form, which can be downloaded below, must be signed and returned at the pre-trip meeting.
