Director of Residence Life
Jen Nelson is a nearly-native Idahoan. She has worked at the College since 2000, first as a hall director and now as the Director of Residence Life/Associate Dean of Students. Jen lives in Boise with her husband Erik, daughter Rose, a dog and three chickens. She is also involved with the First Year Program and Sustainability Council.
Anderson Hall Director / Area Coordinator
Matt Gier has lived in Idaho since day 1. He graduated from The College of Idaho in 2007 and joined the Residence Life team that Fall. Matt lives in the halls with his wife Lisa. Matt loves being in the outdoors fly-fishing, hunting, playing lacrosse, and taking advantage of everything the great state of Idaho has to offer. He also sits on the College Investment Committee and is the Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach.
Hayman Hall Director / Area Coordinator
Justin Waldron is an Idaho transplant. Raised on a farm in Washington state, Justin graduated from C of I in 2004, and found his way back to Idaho and Hayman Hall after living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Justin enjoys learning about people, culture, art and music and is the first year community's baker in residence. On campus you'll also find him involved with the First Year Mentors and RHA.
