Dazzles with his technical and artistic command of the cello. He is both an artist and an athlete with the cello; vigorous and powerful, with energy to burn. Every note sparkles on his fine, 1693 Matteo Goffriller cello. Zuill (rhymes with drool) has smoldering good looks and the winning stage presence of a rock star. He has recorded the sound tracks and also appeared on screen in the NBC drama series Homicide: Life on the Street and the HBO drama series, OZ. Additionally he performs with the Perlman/Nikkanen/Bailey Trio. It was never a question of whether he would be in music, but rather what instrument?

His older sister had already started the violin when he came along, so the family steered him to cello to avoid sibling rivalry. Zuill says that when he was 4 he was a rambunctious kid and smashed into a girl with a cello. He pointed to the cello and said, "That's what I want to play. Literally, it was my first run-in with cello." His mother is a pianist, his father is a music educator with two doctorates, and his sister, Allison, recently received her masters in violin from the U of Oregon.
