Missoula Children's TheatreSleeping Beauty |
| Sleeping Beauty is an original musical
production. It is a brand-new show and the first time that we have presented
it. "Every child is a star!" Auditions are being held February 19 at 4:00 p.m. at Wilson School, corner of 10th and Linden. Any interested students, kindergarten- high school, are invited to try-out. It is a worthwhile learning experience for most students. Fifty to sixty children are selected. Intensive rehearsals are held after school and the finished product is presented at the end of the week. Actor/Directors this year include Dylan Wright who is on his second tour with Missoula Children's Theatre. He recently finished theatrical studies at College of Charleston. His performance credits include HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, CABARET, BRIGADOON, and WORKING. He plays the mandolin and likes to roller blade. Sage Schmeling began her career ten years ago as "Tabby" in the MCT production of JOHNNY APPLESEED. She has worked mostly in Montana. Her favorite performances were in GUYS AND DOLLS, CABARET, DAMN YANKEES, and OKLAHOMA. Sage has taught children of all ages jazz dance and musical theatre in workshop settings. .
