From Mozart and Martinu to Max Raimi, Beethoven and Brahms to Bruce Saylor, the American Chamber Players perform a varied repertoire with a rare combination of virtuosity, elegance and warmth. Since 1985 they have toured throughout North America, with return engagements by prestigious concert series from Florida to British Columbia.
They have also been heard countless times on national Public Radio’s Performance Today and on local radio stations throughout the United Sates. They are the resident ensemble of the June Chamber Festival at the Kreeger Museum in Washington, DC. The members of The American Chamber Players are talented performers, but they are also devoted teachers whose skill, experience, and humor are evident in all their outreach programs and presentations.
Miles Hoffman, artistic director and host of its educational programs, is one of American’s best known and most highly regarded music educators. As
music commentator for National Public Radio’s Morning Edition, he is heard regularly by a national audience of nearly 14 million people. His sparkling musical commentary for
Performance Today, “Coming to Terms,” was a weekly favorite throughout the United States from 1989 to 2002.
“They have established standards of chamber music performance equal to any in the world.” Washington Post
