$6 - $8 student This group of 17-20 Treasure Valley musicians, known also as ED’S (for educators) BIG BAND, began in the early 70’s and is made up of teachers from Fruitland, Caldwell, Nampa, Payette, Parma, Boise, Nyssa, Vale, Baker, and Ontario. They play a wide variety of music from all eras and have been featured with great acclaim at many civic events.
Band members: Saxophone: Carl Sorensen (Vale S.D.), Dr. Bob Armstrong (TVCC music), Leon Gravitt (retired Las Vegas), Skip Bicknese (Ontario H.S.), Jeff Cates Trumpets: Mark Lasnick (Fruitland M.S. Band), Charlie Miller, Bill Keele (Aiken El.-Ontario), Dick Groves (Fruitland El.) Bill Storey. Trombones: Jeff Sizer (Baker H.S. Band), Gary Robbins (Nyssa S.D. Bands), Joel Williams (Fruitland H.S. Band), Toby Leonard (Parama S.D. Bands). Karla Kachelmier (Homedale S.D.). Guitar: Dr. Tim Cox (Ontario M.S. counselor) Piano: Diana Sorensen (Festival judge), Sam Stone (Caldwell H.S.
