2007-2008 Season Calendar

Below is a complete listing of the 2007-2008 season of Caldwell Fine Arts. All performances are at 7:30 pm in Jewett Auditorium, unless otherwise noted.


September 25 (Tuesday)

>  San Jose Taiko    MORE
Mesmerizing audiences with the powerful, spellbinding and propulsive sounds of the taiko drums.

October 13  (Saturday)

>  ZUM "Gypsy Tango Inferno"     MORE
Stunning fusion combining the fire and brilliance of Eastern European gypsy fiddle music with the hot-blooded passion of Argentinean Tango.  

November 3  (Saturday)

>  Angel Romero & Nefretiri Romero     MORE
As Heifetz was to the violin, Horowitz to the piano, so is Angel Romero to the guitar. Soprano Nefretiri Romero recently appeared as soloist on tour with Mexico’s Orquesta de Baja California receiving great critical acclaim and audience response. 

December 13  (Thursday) 

>  Ballet Idaho's Nutcracker    MORE
Spectacular costumes, familiar music, and the joy of young, local dancers joining the professional cast bring a smile to your face.

January 15  (Tuesday)

 Ed's Big Band/Treasure Valley Swing Band    MORE
Treasure Valley musicians made up of teachers from Fruitland, Caldwell, Nampa, Payette, Parma, Boise, Nyssa, Vale, Baker, and Ontario. They play a wide variety of music from all eras.  

February 8 (Friday)

>  Boise Baroque Orchestra     MORE
The Boise Baroque Orchestra was formed in 2003 with the goal of bringing the best of the baroque repertoire to the Treasure Valley.
 

February 22-23

>  Missoula Children's Theater The Little Mermaid     MORE 
Deep in the salty waters of the Sassafras Sea there lived a Little Mermaid. Her name was Celia. She lived for music. Missoula Children’s Theatre performances have delighted and amazed audiences for nearly four decades.

February 26 (Tuesday) 

>  Imani Wind Quintet     MORE
The Grammy-nominated Imani Winds has been enriching the traditional wind quintet repertoire with European, African, Latin American and American music traditions.

April 3 (Tuesday) 

Arianna Goldina & Remy Loumbrozos,  Duo Pianists   MORE
The exceptional musicianship of the American-French duo-pianists Arianna Goldina and Remy Loumbrozo has brought them consistent praise from critics and audiences alike and international recognition as one of today’s leading duo-piano teams.

April 16 (Wednesday)

>  Obo Addy and Okropong     MORE 
Feel the rhythm; hear the music! Obo Addy is one of the key originators of the seminal musical movement now known as "Worldbeat."
