2016–2017 Concert Season

October 14, 2016; 7:30 PM, Jewett Auditorium — Fall Choral Showcase: The British are Coming!—The Music of England

This concert features Chamber Singers, Chorale, and the a cappella ensemble Major Sixth as they perform a wide variety of English repertoire dating from the mid-13th centure to today. Hear the music of William Walton, Benjamin Britten, Thomas Morley, Bob Chilcott, and even Gilbert & Sullivan!

November 30, 2016; 7:30 PM, Jewett Auditorium — Feast of Carols

The Feast of Carols is a C of I holiday tradition that features Chorale, Chamber Singers, Major Sixth, and Sinfonia. Included on the program will be a bevy of wonderful carols from all around the world. Please plan on staying after the concert for a festive reception in the the Langroise lobby immediately following the concert.

March 17, 2017; 7:30 PM, Jewett Auditorium — Spring Choral Concert: From Here to Eternity—A Reflection on Life's Journey.

This concert will feature the Chamber Singers, Chorale, and Major Sixth performing timeless choral works that reflect on the meaning of life's journey. Hear repertoire by Monteverdi, Lauridsen, Whitacre, Esenvalds, and Randall Thompson

May 3, 2017; 7:30 PM, Langroise Recital Hall — World of Song Concert

The final concert of the year is a chance to explore music from around the world.  Ethnic music from countries far and wide will be performed including traditional music, folk songs, and spirituals. 


Admission is free to all on-campus choral concerts, though donations are greatly appreciated.
