2013–2014 Concert Season

October 16, 7:30 PM, Jewett Auditorium — Fall Choral Showcase

This concert features Chamber Singers, Chorale, and the a cappella ensemble Major Sixth as they perform a wide variety of styles and repertoire. Highlights will include a set of pieces by acclaimed contemporary composer, and recent guest to the C of I campus, Dr. Michael John Trotta, as well as selections ranging from the English Renaissance to the African-American Spiritual.

November 7, 7:30, Cathedral of the Rockies Joint Choral Concert

This concert will feature the choirs of C of I and BSU joining forces for an evening of choral excellence.

December 3, 7:30 PM, Jewett Auditorium — Feast of Carols

The Feast of Carols is a C of I holiday tradition that features Chorale, Chamber Singers, Major Sixth, and Sinfonia.  Included on the program will be traditional carols and other holiday favorites, along with historical Christmas music from a bygone age.  Please plan on staying after the concert for a festive reception in the the Langroise lobby immedeately following the concert!

March 19, 7:30 PM, Jewett Auditorium — Spring Choral Concert

This concert will feature timeless choral works ranging from the Renaissance to the twenty-first century, as presented by the C of I Chamber Singers and Chorale.

March 21 - 26 Choir tour to Northern California

May 6, 7:30 PM, Langroise Recital Hall — World of Song Concert

The final concert of the year is a chance to explore music from around the world.  Ethnic music from countries far and wide will be performed including traditional music, folk songs, and spirituals. 

Admission is free to all on-campus choral concerts, though donations are greatly appreciated.
